International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Job Vacancy for an Administrative Assistant/Accountant in Kano
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Kano Office is looking for a qualified candidate with the capacity to work autonomously to fill in the following interesting position:
Job Title: Administrative Assistant/Accountant
Location: Kano
Main Responsibilities:
- Knowledge and application of financial, and administrative procedures
- Follow up and process payments (cash and bank)
- Prepare monthly consolidation of accounts
- Estimate cash requirements for the month
- Ensure respect of financial procedures and guidelines
- Initiate bank payments according to ICRC procedures
- Prepare accounting documents for monthly closing
- Organize and follow-up the maintenance and repairs on premises and office equipment (photocopiers, telephones, faxes, etc.)
Required Qualifications:- Degree in Accounting or Business Administration
- 2 years work experience in a similar field
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Proficient computer skills, especially MS Excel
Desired Personal Skills:- Strongly motivated by humanitarian work
- Team leadership and good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and with a sense of initiative
- Strong sense of responsibility and adaptability, able to work overtime when needed
