Job Title: Information Technology Manager (IT Manager)

Location: Magodo, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing IT policy and best practice guides for the organisation
  • Overseeing and determining timeframes for major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations and outages
  • Providing direction for IT team members
  • Identifying opportunities for team training and skills advancement
  • Routine server maintenance and monitoring and advice on new technology to Senior managements and other stakeholders
  • Managing the company’s website and content updates
  • Troubleshooting system and network problems, diagnosing, and solving hardware or software faults
  • Running regular checks on network and data security
  • Support the strategy for roll-outing of new applications and maintaining current ones
  • Managing and reporting on allocation of IT budget

Competency and Skills Requirements

  • Good understanding of the support processes of an Information Technology department with the capacity to deliver excellent services.
  • Proficient in computer hardware, cabling installation and support, wireless technology applications and interface, and IT security.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and relationship management.
  • Management and leadership skills.
  • Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexible working hours.
  • Knowledge of information technology computer systems and software and the ability to manage the entire spectrum of information technology operations.
  • Experience with computer networks, network administration, and network installation.
  • Experience in supporting a wide range of broadcast and production technologies, systems and equipment including: linear and non-linear edit systems, analogue and digital distribution and IP content networks, routers, communications systems, video and audio servers, automated scheduling, etc.

Minimum Qualifications

  • First degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or IT related discipline.
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience of working in a similar role.
  • CCNA Certification is essential.
  • Java and C++ knowledge is desirable.
  • Web content and Graphics design are also desirable skills.
