Kerildbert Holdings Limited is a leading 3rd Party Logistics Company in the provision of Shipments, Clearing & Freight Forwarding, Customs Brokerage Removals and Procurement Services to firms in the Country.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

 

Job Title: Import & Export Manager

Location: Lagos
Reporting to: Head of Clearing & Forwarding
Number of Direct Reports: 5 Staff

Job Responsibilities

  • Track, trace, and follow up on shipments from the place of origin through to the destination to ensure expeditious processing of shipments benchmarked against agreed timelines.
  • Process certificate of insurance with certified insurance brokers. Apply for Form M on the Nigerian Customs portal with correct information with all relevant documents attached (PFI, insurance certificate, NAFDAC permit(s), SON permit and ensure final transmission to be sent to suppliers
  • Advise suppliers to ensure PFI details are correct and adequate and meet Nigeria Customs Service import requirements.
  • Ensure that form M numbers are sent to the supplier (foreign) to make sure they are quoted on all relevant and shipping & import supporting documents.
  • Ensure the pre-clearing process is completed before dispatching to operations.
  • Real-time update of internal systems and database (intranet) with all jobs (projects) progress.
  • Ensure that clients are not left with any liabilities caused by delays or errors in the clearing and delivery of the job (projects)
  • Engage with local banks on the pre-shipping and clearing documentation, by ensuring correctness and timely delivery of documentation.
  • Prepare, review, and process applications for yearly import permits and licenses (SON, NAFDAC, Plant Quarantine, NESREA)
  • Engage foreign suppliers to fully comply with local import and export regulations.
  • Give strategic input to procurement in setting up new foreign suppliers and onboarding of the suppliers with the end-to-end Impex process.

Minimum Qualification and Experience

  • Graduate of any discipline with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Freight Forwarding and Supply Chain Management in General.
  • Proven professional Knowledge of Nigeria Customs Service and other regulatory agencies.
  • Sound knowledge of the Supply Chain Industry, Import and Export documentation Logistics, etc.
