Job Title: Head of Finance

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Responsibilities

  • Work in conjunction with all department heads to ensure maximum profitability and strategize ways to minimize waste and control costs.
  • Provide critical assessment of all budgets and cost projections.
  • Ensure the Company’s compliance with relevant statutory law and financial regulations.
  • Conducting reviews and evaluations for cost reduction as well as monitoring actual versus budgeted expenses.
  • Addressing negative customer feedback relating to finance.
  • Preparing the payroll schedule and disbursement to staff.
  • Ensure Standard Operating procedures and internal control policies in place are strictly adhered to.
  • Developing strategies and plans for the long-term financial goals of the organization as well as directing budgets to meet these goals.
  • Monitor and control cash flow to enable the organization to meet its business and investment needs.
  • Setting credit rating criteria, determining credit ceilings, monitoring of receivables, aging, and following up with payment.
  • Review payment processes and procedures.
  • Give financial advice to management for decision-making.
  • Liaising with both internal and external auditors to ensure periodic monitoring is carried out.
  • Develop financial strategy, including risk minimization plans and opportunity forecasting.
  • Ensure the accuracy, reliability, completeness, and integrity of the Company’s financial statement in line with local and international statutory requirements (Local GAAP, IFRS, IAS, etc)
  • Produce and analyze periodic results and KPIs (Financial& Operations) in accordance with the company’s policies.
  • Coordinate the Company’s annual statutory audit and periodic review activities with independent auditors.
  • Supervision ofthe finance/account officers and assistants.
  • Prepare the Company’s annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
  • Any other duties assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 5 - 7 years of proven experience as a head of finance or a similar position.
  • Solid understanding of financial management and accounting.
  • Proven ability to control cost and attention to detail.
  • Strong aptitude for math and analytical skills.
  • Professional and proactive work ethic.
  • The ability to create and maintain good relationships with customers.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and broad knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong leadership qualities, and managerial, and organizational skills.
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to multitask.

Salary
N400,000 - N500,000 monthly
