Northwest Petroleum & Gas Company Limited is a Company in the Oil & Gas Sector of the economy with international repute. The Company has vast experience in the importation, supply, distribution, and storage of Petroleum Products and is also actively involved in the official export of Crude Oil from Nigeria being one of the twenty-seven Companies approved by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) for allocation and export of Nigerian Crude Oil. Presently, amongst other facilities, the Company operates two (2) Ultra-Modern Mega Petroleum Products Storage Terminals with a combined capacity of 96.8 million litres certified and duly licensed by the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) and an Ultra-Modern Berthing Facility with an International state of the art Fire Fighting and Safety Equipment in the Calabar Free Trade Zone, Cross River State.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:



Job Title: Forklift Operator

Location: Lagos

Main Key Responsibilities

  • Offloading raw materials from the vehicles when arriving at the plant.
  • Move stock into warehouse after the Warehouse supervisor/Warehouse Manager verified and accepted the quantities and qualities received from the production floor.
  • Stack the pallets neatly in the designated areas in the Warehouse.
  • Maintain accurate picking of orders at all times.
  • Identify and report faulty equipment, damages, and safety concerns to supervisor immediately.
  • Load and unload products from haulage truck using forklift trucks and other material handling equipment.
  • Maintain material handling equipment by recharging, cleaning, oiling, refueling and other necessary actions, and record all information on log sheet.
  • Study production schedule to determine material requirements, movements, and deliveries.
  • Record information regarding movements of customer supplies, materials and finished products.
  • Health and safety procedures must be adhered to
  • General understanding of the store’s operation
  • Ensuring goods are loaded correctly and adhering to safety regulations
  • Load customer delivery goods onto the delivery vehicles, to local customers. This include per loading to ensure earlier departure times for the branches
  • Ensure all orders have been picked correctly as per pick slip
  • Ensure mixed stock has been packed away in their correct places as per the warehouse layout.
  • Sign the picking slip as a confirmation that the order is complete
  • Maintain housekeeping inside and outside the warehouse

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with minimum of 5 years work experience.
