Job Title: Fleet Officer

Job Summary

  • A Fleet maintenance officer, is responsible for leading a team of Drivers to transport company goods efficiently.
  • Their duties include creating work schedules and transportation routes for Drivers to pick up and deliver goods to the correct location, managing a budget for vehicle repairs and replacements and ensuring Driver candidates receive proper training to uphold safe driving standards.

Responsibilities

  • Scheduling regular maintenance on all vehicles/bikes
  • Ordering urgent or emergency repairs as needed
  • Establishing efficient routes and transportation schedules
  • Searching for, hiring and training new drivers/riders/busboys (dispatch team members).
  • Providing reports to management on budgeting, schedules, maintenance and fleet progress
  • Developing methods to decrease cost and improve efficiency
  • Vetting of dispatch team members (busboys, drivers, riders and their guarantors)
  • Coordinate and supervise day-to-day activities of  drivers/riders/busboys, loading, dispatches, and deliveries.
  • Managing vehicle licensure/registration and renewals
  • Ensuring all fleet members have proper licensure and up-to-date training
  • Enforcing vehicle checklist and monitoring Drivers to ensure adherence to schedules and proper driving practices
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Management 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Business / Logistics, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics/ Fleet management.
  • Proficient in MS Office/Google Workspace
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic knowledge of system-based inventory management systems.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in procedures, technologies, or work environments.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Salary
N150,000 Monthly
