Revent global finance was set up to support micro businesses and enterprises by giving out micro or nano loans to small businesses. We also provide working capital support to the micro businesses to meet daily operational needs and partner with these businesses to grow by providing the right funding. RGFL also aims to reach out to the unbanked or underbanked within Nigeria and Africa as a whole.

Job Title: Fixed Income Trader

Job Summary
- Our team requires an experienced Fixed Income Trader who is ready to assume more responsibility and help grow a new operation. Your primary responsibility is to profitably make secondary markets to investors and buy and sell bonds and treasury bills with investors and other dealing institutions on a principled or agented basis in accordance with the firm's risk policy and trading guidelines.
- Candidate will be involved in the marketing of fixed income products and strategies that will help in providing better client services. He/she is responsible for managing the daily trade volumes to ensure timely and appropriate execution of the orders in compliance with the regulatory policies.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- This position requires supervisory responsibilities to newly assigned team members.
Duties / Responsibilities
- Actively trading financial securities for proprietary and agency purposes to achieve targeted profit within set risk limits.
- Manage daily trading to ensure timely execution of the orders and confirm that they are in compliance with regulatory policies.
- Should have in-depth understanding of all fixed income investment products that are deemed suitable for financial institutions.
- Build and maintain relationships with corporate dealers and fixed income salespeople.
- Provide research and fixed income ideas to salespeople daily as they work with their customers.
- Create and continuously update spreadsheets and blotters for weekly and monthly reporting.
- Provide excellent customer service for both internal and external customers.
- Maintain and update inventory records of fixed-income securities.
- Identify and leverage opportunities by developing innovative trading ideas and making entry into new markets.
- Develop a trading strategy that responds to trends in the current market.
- Keep up to date on and monitor market trends, economic news and conditions in order to keep their clients informed about the direction of their investments.
Required Skills / Abilities & Education
- Minimum of a First Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
- Proven experience 2 – 4years as a Fixed Income Trader.
- Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office and financial software applications.
- The ability to sustain in a fast-paced work atmosphere
- Should possess a high analytical aptitude, good judgmental and decision-making skills.
- Should have multitasking ability, should be able to manage his work according to priority, and should be comfortable to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Well-informed in current financial subjects, money market and business environments.
- Professional certification such as CFA or any other relevant professional certification will be an added advantage.
- Outstanding presentation, reporting and communication skills.
- Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance and information analysis.
- Should be able to demonstrate strong analytical, quantitative, and technological skills.
- Must possess a deep interest in the financial markets and should be extremely well organized.
