Job Title: Financial Accountant

Location: Lekki, Lagos

Job brief

  • Our client seeks for a qualified Financial Accountant to be responsible for supporting decision-making and overseeing of financial information.
  • The financial accountant's responsibilities include producing budgets, overseeing tax payments, and conducting internal audits.

Responsibilities

  • Create financial statements for processing payroll, account reconciliations, account payables, account receivables, income, and expenses, among other things.
  • Create quarterly, yearly, and monthly reports.
  • Create the organization’s budget.
  • Keep thorough accounting records for future use.
  • Conduct internal audits and verify the accuracy of financial documents.
  • Reconcile and record bank accounts and credit card transactions.
  • Complete month-end closing tasks such as account reconciliation, revenue and expense accounting, etc.
  • Create financial reports as needed for team meetings or upon management and client request.
  • Prepare and submit monthly financial reports quickly and accurately.
  • Assist with the annual budget, forecast, and projection development.
  • Help with the documentation prepared for the annual financial audits.
  • Coordinate annual audits, examine financial data and assist as required.
  • Examine and report on changes in income statements as well as the financial situation.
  • Share financial results with Executive Management and important stakeholders.
  • Enhance procedures and systems and launch corrective action.
  • Make sure that the legal and tax frameworks are followed.
  • Make sure that accounting standards and corporate regulations are followed by the financial records.
  • Track and report accounting irregularities.
  • Keep abreast of financial policies, procedures, and rules.
  • Observe local, state, and federal tax laws.
  • Identify discrepancies or inaccuracies in the accounting and recommend the required corrective action.

Qualifications

  • Applicants must possess a degree in accounting.
  • ACCA or ICAN in view would be an added advantage.
  • Must have four (4) years working experience in an accounting or finance position in tech and real estate
  • Excellent commercial and business acumen
  • Outstanding mathematical skills.
  • Confidentiality and professionalism
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and Quick Book software.
  • Solid understanding of bookkeeping competencies.
  • Time management skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Salary 
N350,000 - N400,000 Monthly.
