The company has exported its products to the UK, Switzerland, Saudi Arabia, and the U.S. The company recently reached a milestone of raising a $3M Series A investment to grow its manufacturing capacity 6X and serve more local and global customers.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Finance Manager

Location: Lagos

Role Overview

• The company is seeking a qualified Finance Manager, based in Lagos, Nigeria to join the company in this exciting phase of its growth to build the first of its kind fruit processing company in Nigeria.
• The ideal candidate has experience, but more importantly, demonstrated interest in working with an innovative and non-traditional company in the manufacturing sector.
• The ideal candidate also has a keen interest in agribusiness and value chains.
• The Finance Manager will be responsible for overall financial activities spanning factory operations to HQ, working with all managerial staff to ensure that all operational activities are in line with the company's strategic and financial goals.
• The position will report to the CEO and Board of Directors.

Job Duties
Management:

• Overseeing financial activities relating to the Head Quarters, Regional Offices and Factory.
• Managing Finance personnel and outsourced functions related to financial activities
• Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives and manage finance team across different business units
• Ensure compliance with statutory laws and regulatory bodies.
• Develop, implement, and maintain a documented system of accounting, internal control activities and general operational set of policies and procedures
• Preparing and presenting financial data and reporting to internal and external stakeholders

Funds Management:

• Forecast cash flow positions and/or finance needs and propose cash management options to CEO and Board of Directors
• Manage trade finance requirements / instruments to fulfil business needs
• Monitor and manage receivables and credit limits
• Support the CEO on fundraising activities.
• Ensure sufficient availability of funds to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements
• Maintain and expand banking relationships to offer the best services to suit the company’s financial needs

Budgeting:

• Work with the CEO and management team during the quarterly budget cycle to develop the company's financial targets for the year and prepare a budget presentation for management approval.
• Assist management in the formulation of its overall strategic direction.
• Prepare quarterly management reports showing variances across the different financial and KPIs of the budget and demonstrate understanding of the reasons for such variances.

Financial Analysis:

• Engage in continuous pricing analysis to support different departments in strategic and purchasing decisions.
• Develop and review key financial and operational ratios to ensure profitable running of the business.
• Engage in ongoing cost reduction analysis in all areas of the company.
• Interpret the company's financial results to management and recommend improvement activities.
• Any other ad hoc financial activities.

Educational Qualifications and Experience

• B.Sc. in Accounting or any relevant field with a minimum of 10 years work experience in Finance, with demonstrated experience in financial analysis, treasury, team management and budgeting.
• Relevant professional qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CFA, etc)
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and Financial Management Software.
• Exceptional communication, Interpersonal and Leadership skills
• Excellent Business analysis, Project Management and Financial Management skills
• Great Problem solver and critical thinker.
• Must have worked in a similar capacity in Manufacturing, FMCG, Commercial/Retail, Agriculture, Logistics, or Hospitality.
• In depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices.
• Practical knowledge of financial analysis
