Job Title: Finance Assistant

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Position Overview

  • As a Finance Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of our organization.
  • You will work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate and efficient handling of financial transactions, Your attention to detail and ability to perform tasks with precision will contribute to the overall financial health and success of the company.

Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable and Receivable:

  • Process vendor invoices, employee expense claims, and ensure timely payments.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure a smooth month-end and year-end closing process.
  • Assist in preparing necessary financial reports and schedules as required.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Assist in managing accounts receivable, including generating customer invoices and tracking payments.2. Enter financial data into the accounting system accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain and update financial records, including transactions, receipts, and disbursements.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports and variance analysis.

Financial Analysis:

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations and provide support during internal and external audits

Skills and Qualifications

  • An OND in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proactive attitude and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proven work experience in a finance or accounting role is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with accounting systems.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive financial information.
