Job Title: Field Operations Supervisor
Location: Warri, Delta

Roles and Responsibilities
The Field Operator Supervisor will be responsible for the following:
- Lead a team of operators to deliver simple and complex activities in the plant.
- Manage the shutdown permitry and isolation management process.
- Apply the emergency response procedure where and when necessary.
- Report and close out UA/UC.
- Serves as PTW signatory.
- Apply the HSSE policy, and legislation applicable to crude oil transfer and export.
- Adhere to plant operational procedures.
- Monitor, control and record production rates and performance.
- Start-up and commissioning of installation.
- Perform basic troubleshooting on process facilities to ensure stability.
- Perform daily first-line monitoring of process parameters and variables.
- Gather daily production data, and determine the production performance.
- Participate in console review meeting, Daily notification and YTT review meeting
- Prepare daily production reports for DPR
- Execute daily communication and Shift handover
- Ensure optimized chemical injection rates are followed as advised.
- Prepare equipment for maintenance interventions plant isolation etc.
- Collaborate with other disciplines to execute planned activities.
- Supervise preparation of equipment for maintenance including isolation, draining, steaming, and other procedures as required.
Asset Management:
- Contract Management – Processing of Service Entries, PR/PO, Catering Bills and Chargeback
- West Demand Planning/Execution
- Managing Logistics for Terminal staff and visitors - booking of flights and personnel carriers.
- Support the Business Finance Unit in Managing the Terminal Budget
- Serve as Focal Point for Co-ordinating Terminal Estate Services
- Collaborate with other disciplines to execute planned activities.
- Execute daily communication and Shift handover.
- Follow-up Procurement for ordered spares and materials until delivery.
- Raise and achieve budgetary approval for procurement of materials and services.
- To enable the end-to-end process of material purchasing using Companies Material Management “ways of working” and manage the Requisition-to-Pay (RtP) Process.
- Vendor Relationship and Performance Management- Track Staff Salary Payment, Pension Remittance and General Vendor Performance
- West Demand Planning/Execution
- Coordinate YTT (Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow), Notifications, Scheduling and FSR (Facility Status Report) Reviews/Engagements
- Manage Terminal Fleet and daily fuel collection.
- Plan and supervise safe execution of Field/Environment Maintenance.
- Co-ordination West Cost Leadership Panel for the Terminal
- Apply the emergency response procedure where and when necessary.
- Report and close out UA/UC.
Work Cycle:
- The work location is a Swamp-field based in the West Shell Facilities accessible via water and Air.
- The job activity period is daily on a 12-hour (7 am to 7 pm) routine over 21 days.
- There is a standard 3-week on and 3-week off schedule.
- The successful candidate will manage their absences with his/her contractor for suitably qualified covers.
- There may be a need for periodic visits to the Shell industrial area for training and official assignments.
- Personnel may be required to work extended hours as the need arises.
Work Experience
- Minimum of 5 to 12 years working as a field operations support, technician or permit coordinator in an oil and gas-producing field location.
- Asset Management and Logistics support Experience in SPDC.
- Must have at least five (5) years’ experience in SPDC terminal operations.
Skills:
(Added advantage):
- Ability to read and interpret process engineering flow schemes (PEFS) and process documents.
- Self-motivated and performs under minimal supervision.
- Experience in leading and supervising others in field operations tasks.
- Experience in site project supervision and commissioning.
- Skill-level knowledge in running/managing permit systems.
- Understanding of Forcados Terminal Process Operations and control room activities.
- Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
- Excellent verbal and oral communication skills
- Problem-solving and good analytical skills.
Soft Skills:
- Ability to understand and perform production operations (volume, pressure) calculation.
- Ability to understand units of various variables i.e., pressure, volume, flow rate etc.
- Onsite Hazard identification and Risk assessment capability.
- Flexibility and adaptability.
- Problem-solving and good analytical skills.
