Benek Engineering Company Limited (BECL) is an indigenous onshore and offshore engineering contracting company with her corporate headquarters in port harcourt and an overseas office at houston, Texas, USA. The Company has established a reputation for providing highly skilled project management, maintenance, and construction services to the Oil & Gas industry.

BECL was incorporated in 1984 and since then has executed various onshore and offshore projects for clients including SHELL, AGIP, CHEVRON, NNPC, TOTAL, ADDAX among several others. BECL is a corporate member of several professional bodies including Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE), Nigeria Corrosion Association (NICA), Nigerian Institute of Welding (NIW), Oil & Gas Trainers Association of Nigeria (OGTAN) among several others.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

 



Job Title: Facilities Engineer (Process / Chemical)

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • Designs and modifies straightforward equipment and facilities such as: separators and treaters; transfer pumps; vapor recovery units; simple pipelines.
  • Utilizes basic tools and procedures for design safety (such as API 14C, flare and relief systems, process safety management, etc.).
  • Maintains basic data sheets, supplier drawings, P&IDs.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of production engineering processes / terminology.
  • Performs heat and material balances for units such as glycol units, amine plants, cooling tower, oil and gas separators, etc.

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor's Degree with Second Class Honours Upper Division in Chemical, Process or Petroleum Engineering.
  • Candidates with Second class lower honours and a Master’s Degree in the same discipline may also be considered.

Experience:

  • One (1) to maximum of Five (5) years post 1st degree (includes National Youth Service) experience.

Additional Requirements:

  • Moderate HYSYS and /or PIPEPHASE simulation skills.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of Data Science is an added advantage.
  • Ability to interpret Piping and Instrumentation Drawing (P&ID), Process Flow Diagram (PFD) and Safety Analysis Function Evaluation (SAFE) charts.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
