The U.S. Mission to Nigeria comprises of the Embassy in Abuja, FCT, and the Consulate General in Lagos. U.S. Consulate General Lagos is the Mission’s representative to the Nigerian people in the southern region.

Duties
Basic Function of the Position:

  • The incumbent manages the delivery, issuance, storage, disposal and inventory control of expendable supplies.
  • The position is in the General Services Section and under the supervision of the GSO Supply Supervisor.
  • This position is characterized with providing support to medium size posts.
  • This position is characterized as providing support to medium size posts with no Property Supervisor.

Requirements
Education Requirements:

  • Completion of Secondary School is required.

Experience:  

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in supply / warehousing / expendables or property / supply management is required.

Job Knowledge:  

  • Knowledge of supply chain, warehousing operations and/or property / expendables management is required.
  • Knowledge in computerized inventory and stock control data programs is required.
  • Knowledge of local vendors and their procedures is required.
  • Knowledge of SHEM safety guidelines is required.

Evaluations:

  • This may be tested. Please specify your level of proficiency in the language listed.

Language:  

  • (Good Working knowledge) Speaking / Reading / Writing English is required.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong recordkeeping, technical, administrative skills and attention to details is required.
  • Computer competencies including basic skills in Microsoft Office applications is required.
  • Must have a valid, class B driver's license
  • Must be able to lift a maximum of 51 Ibs. (23kg) under OSHA standards

Agency Benefits:

  • Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Mission in Abuja, Nigeria may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.

  • The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.

COVID-19 Requirements for Eligible Family Members

  • As required by Executive Order 14043, Eligible Family Members who will be employed on a Family Member Appointment (FMA) or a Temporary Appointment (TEMP) are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 regardless of the employee’s duty location or work arrangement (e.g., telework, remote work, etc.), subject to such exceptions as required by law.

Salary
