Job Title: Protection Officer

The Position
- DRC is seeking the services of a committed and competent Protection Officer – COVID 19 Response to join the Adamawa Team. Interested persons will be reporting to the Project Manager – COVID 19.
- The Protection Officer will be part of the Danish Refugee Council (DRC) Protection Team and will work under the guidance of Protection Team leader. She/he will be based in Mubi-Adamawa state to provide the field team constant support.
- She/he will have an important role in the implementation of protection activities including protection monitoring, protection awareness, referral pathways, provision of individual protection assistance, support to displaced communities as well as conducting training and capacity building for duty bearers. Close coordination with the different protection actors and represent the organizations at the PSWG meetings. She/he will assist in the establishment of effective community-based structures in support of the protection Programme. He/she will support the field team through a constant field visit to project sites.
- The Protection Officer is also responsible for the design and implementation of rapid protection assessments in their areas of responsibility, analysis of protection monitoring information and report writing.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Individual & Group Counselling:
- Conduct individual assessments for possible psychosocial distress and the identification of a therapeutic intervention plan for people directly identified or referred by the community structures or protection team in relation to Covid-19.
- Conduct individual or group counselling as part of a therapeutic intervention plan for and with people identified or referred
- Carry out a PSS intervention plan for each individual client after receiving their consent for the same. Consider emotional, behavioural and social factors that affect their psychosocial well-being.
- Provide continuous psycho-social support via regular follow-up meetings, establishing a relationship built on trust and respecting confidentiality protocols.
- Close cases when the objectives in the PSS intervention plan have been met and no further needs have been identified.
- Provide group counselling as part of a therapeutic intervention plan for with people identified and referred by the case management team or social workers following the opening of a CM case file.
- Document cases and ensure that any progress on the individual therapeutic intervention plan and any significant change in the client’s psychosocial well-being and overall situation is duly recorded in a timely fashion.
- Participate in individual supervision sessions on a weekly basis with the PSS Team lead, bringing immediate attention to any case of special/emergency needs.
- Participate in internal case conferences (when relevant), team meetings, training and workshops as scheduled by the
- supervisory and management team.
- Document all general PSS activities as per DRC and donor reporting regulations and transmit these on a weekly basis to the PSS Team Lead for compilation.
- Support the planning, implementation and reporting on all PSS activities via weekly work plans, schedules and people management.
- Support positive team dynamics and a healthy work environment where our beneficiaries affected by Covid-19 feel comfortable and supported in sharing their experiences, challenges and feelings.
- Identify gaps in Covid-19 information and PSS training needs and request support from the PSS-Team Lead or Protection Specialist to provide the same.
- Compile all reporting on Covid-19 PSS activities as per DRC and donor reporting regulations and transmit these on a weekly basis to the PSS Team lead for further handling. Engage in regular feedback and dialogue with the PSS Team lead on quantitative reporting.

- Carry out any delegated activities as assigned by DRC management at the field level including supervision of field bases.
- Manage DRC protection assets assigned to the field of operation.
- Always liaise with security officers in DRC to keep up to date on the security situation of the field base.

Requirements
Essentials:
- 2-5 years of experience in supervising field staff, planning and implementation of activities in complex emergencies
- Skills and experience in assessment, delivery, monitoring, review and evaluation, working with refugees or IDPs
- Good facilitation/training skills; experience designing and delivering training curricula, preferably focused on adult learning.
- Ability and willingness to maintain a regular presence at project sites and to work during irregular working hours and in insecure environments.

Job Title: Project Team Leader

The Position
- DRC is seeking the services of a committed and competent Project Team Leader – COVID 19 Response to join the Adamawa Team. Interested persons will be reporting to the Project Manager – COVID 19.
- The Project Team Leader primary function is to support the Project manager in planning and delivery of OFDA funded COVID19 response project; ensuring planning, quality of the implementation and follow up of IPC and COVID19 related PSS activities being implemented by DRC.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
General Programming & Operations:
- Develop work plans and ensure timely and efficient delivery of all aspect of the project
- Maintain adequate project records to facilitate timely and quality reporting
- Coordinate with the MEAL team to conduct assessments and post monitoring activities
- Incorporate learnings to improve project deliveries
- Support field teams to build strong community networks that would facilitate every aspect of the project

Job Title: Support Services Officer

The position
- DRC is seeking the services of a committed and competent Support Services Officer – COVID 19 Response to join the Adamawa Team. Interested persons will be reporting to the HR Team Leader.
- Provide support to DRC field programmes by undertaking technical and practical tasks to ensure the smooth, safe and efficient operation of supply chain and or support activities in accordance with the Operations Handbook and Program Manual, with adherence to donor guidelines.
The main duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Assets and Supply Management:
- Maintain the records of Assets, Equipment for the field office in line with the Assets recording system for the country programme.
- Ensure that the assets that are issued to staff are authorized, recorded and necessary paper work exists as per the DRC policy.
- Ensure that all assets are properly maintained and looked after. Any misuse and abuse are reported to the AM and the Supply Chain Coordinator.
- Ensure day to day management of building, properties and supplies to ensure they are safe and in enough, properly resupplied, and in good working order for use by field staff.
Inventories and Stock Management:
- To help if required to the Warehouse Assistant and Supply Chain Officer in the field to assure that the stock items are safely stored and correctly recorded as per the guidelines and the warehouse/stores are well maintained.
Power Systems Management:
- Ensure all power generation equipment, electric appliances and power systems are well maintained
- Ensure issues related to power systems are timely reported and solutions are sought under the guidance of the Area Manager / Supply Chain Coordinator.
- Monthly reports of use and maintenance are produced and submitted to the Area Manager and Supply Chain Coordinator.
Safety and Security:
- Ensure that DRC Safety Protocol and SoPs are observed and respected.
- Ensure the implementation of the evacuation plan in case of need.
- Ensure that First Aid Kit and Hibernation kit are available up to standard.
- Ensure the daily communication with DRC Safety Department.
- Ensure daily communication to other managers and UNHAS flight focal point to ensure all staff are aware of flight times and are well-prepared.
- Communicate and act as a focal point in the event of an incident or urgent situation.
General Work and Filing:
- Implement standard DRC supply chain systems and procedures
- Ensure health and safety policy is implemented and matters related to are reported to the designated responsible manager.
- Provide technical inputs on procurements related to vehicles, generators & power systems and other technical items required for supply chain operations.
- Ensure all paperwork is kept according to DRC’s policies and procedures of and filed neatly with supporting documents in respective files.

The main Duties and Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
