Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following positions below in Delta State University Teaching Hospital, Oghara, Delta State:


Position: Senior Registrar II
Requirements:

  • Possession of MBBS or equivalent, full registration and current practicing license with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria and Part I fellowship in the appropriate discipline of either the National Post graduate College or West African College of Surgeons or their equivalent from other countries.

Position: Technicians
Requirements:
Dialysis, EEG, ECG, Sterilization Service, Spirometry:
  • B.Sc., HND or OND in any science related course, preferably biomedical engineering or SSCE and certificate of training in the appropriate area mentioned above. Relevant working experience will be an added advantage.

Position: Anaesthetic Technicians
Requirement:
  • SSCE with certificate of training as an anaesthetic technician.
  • Relevant working experience will be an added advantage.
Position: Dental, Plaster Technicians
Requirement:
  • Certificate in Dental/Plaster Technician course from a recognized training institution. Relevant working experience and possession of SSCE will be an added advantage.
Position: Scientific Officers
Requirements:
  • Medical Physicists: Applicants should possess a B.Sc degree in any of the Physical Sciences preferably physics with a post graduate qualification or training as o medical physicist. Relevant working experience will be an added advantage. Successful applicants are expected to work in the Radiology department.
  • PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication Systems) Specialists: Applicants should possess a first degree in any of the Physical Science preferably Computer Science. Evidence of proficiency in the applications of ICT in Medical Imaging will be an added advantage.
Position: Senior Registrar I
Requirements:
  • Possession of MBBS or equivalent, full registration and current practicing license with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria and a minimum of 12 months experience Post Part 1 fellowship in the appropriate discipline of either the National Post graduate Medical College or West African College of Surgeons, with a minimum of 7 years Post-Qualification experience.
Position: Radiographers/Medical Imaging Scientists 
Requirements:
  • Applicants should posses B.Sc degree in Radiography/Medical Imaging Science or its equivalent with evidence of completion of internship, Certificate of Registration with the Radiographers Board of Nigeria and evidence of completion of or exemption from NYSC.
  • Applicants with proficiency in CT, MRI, Mammography and having worked with Digital Imaging facilities will be an added advantage.
Position: Registrars
Requirements:
  • Possession of MBBS degrees or its equivalent, full registration and current practicing license with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria, Evidence of having attempted or passed the primary examinations in the appropriate discipline of either the National Postgraduate Medical College or West African College of Surgeons will be an added advantage.
 Position: Pharmacists/Pharmacist Technician
Requirements:
  • Pharmacists: B.Pharm or Pharm.D from a recognized university and registration with current practicing license with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria. Relevant work experience and computer literacy especially evidence of experience in the use of the Pharmacy Information System (PIS) will be an added advantage.
  • Pharmacy Technicians: Certificate of Pharmacy Technician course from a recognized training institution with evidence of registration with the Pharmacist Council of Nigeria. Relevant work experience will be an added advantage.
Position: Physiotherapists
Requirements:
  • Applicants must possess B.Sc/BMR or its equivalent in physiotherapy, Certificate of Registration with the Medical Rehabilitation Therapist Board of Nigeria, evidence of having completed Physiotherapy internship in a recognized institutions and certificate of completion of or exemption from NYSC.
Position: Opticians 
Requirements:
  • Applicants should possess Diploma in Dispensing Optics and at least 3 years practicing experience.
Position: Optometrists
Requirements:

  • Applicants should possess the Doctor of Optometry Degree, evidence of completion of internship and NYSC and certificate of registration with the Optometrist Council of Nigeria.
Position: Medical Social Services Officers
Requirements:
  • Applicants should possess B.Sc degree in Sociology from a recognized institution, evidence of completion of or exemption from NYSC.
  • Possession of a post graduate qualification in Medical Social Services will be an added advantage.
Position: Nurses
Requirements:

  • Applicants should possession of RN, RM (especially in the case of midwives), evidence of current registration and practicing license with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria, Certified evidence of Post Basic training in the appropriate areas of Nursing as highlighted above and relevant years of working experience as required in the civil service for the various cadres listed.
  • Possession of a Bachelor in Nursing Science will be an added advantage
Position: Senior/Principal/Assistant Chief Health Information Managers (Medical Records)
Requirements:
  • Applicants should possess HND or B.Sc degree or its equivalent in Hearth Information Management from a recognized training institution, evidence of completion or exemption from NYSC and years of relevant working experience.
  • Possession of a post graduate qualification and proficiency in ICT skills will be an added advantage.
Position: Health Information Technicians (Medical Records)
Requirements:

  • Candidates must have OND in Health Record or its equivalent from a recognized training institution.
Position: Lab Scientists/Technicians
Requirements:
  • Scientists: Applicants must possess a first degree in B.Sc certificate of registration and current membership with the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria, evidence of regular participation in continuous professional development, computer literacy and relevant years of working experience in a government establishment as required in the civil service for the various cadres listed.
  • Technicians Five GCSEs A-C or equivalent, MLT certificate, registration and current membership with Laboratory Medical Council of Nigeria, evidence of regular participation in continuous professional development, computer literacy and relevant years of working experience in a government establishment as required in the civil service for the various cadres listed.
Position: Health Information Manager (Medical Records)
Requirements:

  • Applicants should possess HND or B.Sc degree or its equivalent in Health Information Management from a recognized training institution, evidence of completion or exemption from NYSC and years of relevant working experience.
  • Possession of a post graduate qualification and proficiency in ICT skills will be an added advantage.
Position: Health Care Assistants
Requirements:
  • Certified evidence of training from School of Health Technology.
  • Working experience in this capacity will be an added advantage.
Position: Information and Communication Technologist
Requirements:

  • Applicants for the advertised positions should possess a B.Sc degree in any of the Physical Sciences preferably in Computer Science with certified evidence and training proficiency in the relevant areas advertised.
Position: Biomedical Engineers
Requirements:
Applicants should possess at least any of the following:
  • OND/HND/B.Sc in Biomedical Engineering.
  • Relevant work experience will be an added advantage.
Position: Casualty Officers
Requirements:

  • Applicants should possess MB BS degree or its equivalent, certificate of full registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria, evidence of completion of NYSC and at least 3 years post NYSC working experience in a reputable Teaching Hospital.
