Access Bank unveiled its new logo, signalling the commencement of a new enlarged banking entity. The bank employs more than 28,000 people in 2021. Job Description

  • As a Data Scientist, you shall extract insights from large volumes of data. Your work shall be crucial for identifying growth levers, optimizing marketing efforts, improving user experience, and ultimately, increasing our user base and ecosystem value.

Your Impact

  • Perform predictive and prescriptive analytics to understand the behaviour, preferences, segmentation, and trends of the Bank’s customers.
  • Design and conduct experiments to test growth hypotheses on user acquisition or engagement strategies.
  • Understand the user journey, identify bottlenecks, and provide insights to improve the user experience and increase retention.
  • Monitor the Financial services landscape and competitors to identify growth opportunities and challenges.
  • Develop and maintain metrics, data pipelines, and dashboards to guide and drive business decisions.
  • Utilize Machine Learning, Advanced Analytics, and Artificial Intelligence to solve problems creatively.

Requirements
You'll bring the following required skills:

  • BA/BSc/B.Eng./MSc. in quantitative subjects such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, Engineering etc.
  • Strong experience in handling data and Exploratory Data Analysis
  • Proven knowledge and experience in software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices.
  • 5+ years of experience in Data Science / Statistical Modelling / Machine Learning
  • Experience in working with unstructured data (e.g., text, audio, images)
  • Proven experience with different types of models – Predictive Analytics, Deep Learning, Time series techniques, etc.
  • Experience with cloud technologies such as GCP, AWS or Azure, etc
  • Experience with programming and querying languages such as R, SQL, and Python
  • Experience with data visualisation tools, such as Power BI, Tableau, etc.
  • Strong analytical skills with the analyse large datasets in solving complex business problems.
  • Understanding of data flows, data architecture, ETL and processing of structured and unstructured data.
  • Experience with common Advanced Analytics technologies such as NLTK, Transformers-based technologies, GPT-4
  • PhD / MS in one of the following areas - Maths, Engineering, Economics, Physics, Operations Research, or any other quantitative discipline

  • A strong understanding of statistical concepts

  • Strong documentation skills, and ability to write succinct technical reports.
