Data Enumerators - Household Survey at Malaria Consortium

Job Title: Data Enumerators - Household Survey

Locations: Edo, Gombe, Imo, and Kano
Employment Type: Contract

Job Description

  • Activity: ACT Market Survey on the Private Sector Market Analysis (PSMA)
  • Duration: September - October 2024

Purpose of Assignment

  • Engage data enumerators that will conduct household data collection using quantitative data collection tools (Questionnaires and Observational Checklists) across 4 states on the PSMA project.
  • Conduct and submit a minimum of 3 electronic responses per person daily for 12 days of the survey
  • The data enumerators will elicit information from households in their selected state of resident.

Scope of Work:

  • Attend 3-4 days training sessions on responsible conduct of research and Malaria Consortium Safeguarding
  • Participate in pretesting of tools prior to field data collection.
  • Review of data for accuracy and completeness before uploading on the Kobo collect database.
  • Submission of signed timesheets.
  • Selected data enumerators will conduct listing of households
  • Data enumerators will obtain informed consent from eligible respondents in the states.
  • Identify eligible respondents and participate in the quantitative data collection (Household survey) using Kobo collect platform (already scripted into an android device).

Qualifications

  • Candidates must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree / Higher National Diploma with a minimum of 1 year of experience.
  • Working knowledge of the local language of the implementation state (Yoruba, Hausa, Igbo etc)
  • Residency within the state and proficiency in spoken and written English Language
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills are required.
  • Experience of participation as a data enumerator in similar public health research
  • Experience in the use of android devices in data collection (Kobocollect and SurveyCTO).
