Job Title: Fund / Portfolio Manager
Location: Abuja and Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
- Drive the investment management function of the company, contributing to the formulation of investment strategies, product development and process improvement
- Generating investment opportunities outlining Client’s Investment Objective; Implement investment strategies and action plans and ensure adherence to investment mandates vis-à-vis client profiles
- Constructing Successful investment portfolios informed by market conditions and economic trends
- Buying and Selling Securities in Client’s accounts to maintain specific investment strategies or to reach investment objectives
- Determining acceptable risk levels for clients based on time frames, risk preferences, return expectations and market conditions
- Maintaining new and existing Client relationships, constant update of client on market conditions, investment research and economic trends
- Evaluating the performance of investment portfolios and ensuring compliance with standards provided by regulatory authorities including performance with investor disclosures, privacy laws and money laundering requirements and anti- fraud measures
- Soliciting potential investors, pitching investment products and Close business transactions to increase company’s portfolio
- Draft investment policy statements for all investment portfolios managed by the Company
- Generate risk reports for investors and external regulators when required
- Research and development to keep self and organisation informed on relevant investment & trading news, economic trends and government policies
Minimum Qualifications / Requirements
- Not Older than 40 years Old
- Degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance or Business Administration or any other degree
- Certified Financial Analyst (CFA), MBA or Post graduate qualification; with demonstrably strong Asset Management,Investment Analysis, Financial Analysis, cash flow modelling and investment valuation techniques.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages - Excel,Power Point, Project and other accounting packages.
- Licensed Capital Market Operator is an advantage also Membership of relevant professional bodies.
