Job Title: Cryptographer

Location: Lagos

About the Job

  • We're seeking an experienced Cryptographer to join our team in developing secure systems and protocols.
  • You'll design and implement cryptographic algorithms and work with our security teams to protect sensitive data and communications.

Responsibilities

  • Research, design, analyze, and implement advanced cryptographic algorithms and protocols
  • Evaluate current security measures and recommend improvements
  • Develop technical documentation and security specifications
  • Contribute to security audits and compliance efforts
  • Understanding of data masking techniques.
  • Provide technical guidance in the deployment of data masking technology.
  • Perform cryptanalysis to identify vulnerabilities in existing systems
  • Collaborate with software engineers to integrate cryptographic solutions
  • Stay current with cryptographic research and emerging threats

Requirements

  • Minimum of a BSc in Mathematics, Computer Science or an engineering discipline
  • A Master’s Degree in any of the aforementioned disciplines is an added advantage
  • Relevant professional certifications from a reputable professional institution
  • Strong understanding of modern cryptographic algorithms and protocols
  • Experience implementing encryption, authentication, and key management systems
  • Knowledge of common cryptographic attacks and countermeasures
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (C/C++, Python, Java)
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
  • 4 – 6 years of experience in cryptography and information security
  • Knowledge of secure hardware elements and trusted execution environments
  • Familiarity with blockchain technology and smart contracts
  • Experience with security certifications (FIPS, Common Criteria)
