Job Title: Creative Director

Job Description & Summary

  • We are currently seeking a dynamic, creative and experienced Creative Director to join our agency.
  • This individual will be responsible for managing the production of creative designs and art layouts by developing concepts and providing work direction to staff.
  • This individual must use their graphic design skills and industry knowledge to develop creative standards and guide multimedia content development for many different clients on a wide array of projects.
  • This role is ultimately responsible for the final product and generating brilliant ideas to present to the client and see through to production.

Principal Functions

  • Provide leadership and guidance to team members and manage subordinates’ performance towards achievement of overall team objectives
  • Direct the visual elements of the campaign whether it's designing ads, websites, outdoor media, and brochures for the agency on behalf of its clients.
  • Keep abreast of marketing communications global and local best practices in relation to team/unit activities
  • Create and maintain the visual look for all work on an account, making sure the client's marketing materials are visually engaging and that the message is clear.
  • Give clear direction to clients’ requests and interprets clients’ briefs.
  • Attend brainstorming sessions with other members of the account management team to develop concepts for new business presentation
  • Execute marketing communications plans for promotions, events/sponsorships and other activities/initiatives
  • Maintain quality and consistency of marketing/brand communications (graphic and print materials in relation to preferred brand image and establish specifications standards
  • Monitor activities of vendors to ensure adherence with production expectations

Educational Requirements

  • First Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
  • Postgraduate/ professional qualification in a related field will be an added advantage.
  • Eight (8) to twelve (12) years work experience, with at least three (4) years in a supervisory role.
