Hamilton Lloyd and Associates - Our client is a multinational diary company with product sales for over 100 countries. The company employs 19,000 people in 25 countries in key regions such as: Europe, Asia and Africa.
Due to expansion processes in the Nigerian operations, they are looking to fill the position of a Cost controller

Job Position: Cost Controller

Location: Lagos

Description

  • Develop, coordinate and manage procedures to ensure the efficient cost control of the Projects, including the recording, controlling, forecasting and reporting of all financial matters.
Responsibilities
  • Managing all internal and required external management reporting proactively highlighting risks and opportunities.
  • Take ownership of the cost control function and ensure integrity of the data being processed
  • Interface with project personnel to develop project forecasts and analyse project costs
  • Supervise any supporting roles in the project cost control area
  • Liaise with clients to clarify cost related issues and develop timely and meaningful monthly invoices.
  • Preparation of monthly financial reports for the project. Also prepare other financial analysis as required on an adhoc basis
  • Implement financial controls including controlling authorisations of expenditure and cash flow projections.
  • Managing the business profitability and ensuring that profit, working capital and cash commitments are duly met.
  • Coordinating the budget and forecasting
  • Evaluation of New Products and Investment appraisals Ensuring good budgetary control measures
  • Co-drive margin improvements.
  • Responsible for supply chain finance, both inbound and outbound.
  • Drive factory cost and factory recoveries. Highlight usage variances and other factory variances.
  • Supports business planning process.
  • Develop, implement and control the project accounting and job costing system to meet project requirements
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or any related course.
  • Must have knowledge of SAP.
  • Sound professional.
  • 5 years working experience.
  • ICAN is a must.
  • Should have audit experience.
