Contract / Procurement Officer at Rano Accrete Petroleum Development Company (RAPDC) Limited


A.A RANO Nigeria Limited and Accrete Exploration and Production Limited jointly formed Rano-Accrete Petroleum Development Company (RAPDC) Limited to operate the Oloye Field (PPL 245) formerly within Chevron operated OML 95.

RAPDC is the operator for PPL-245 containing the shallow offshore Oloye field, offshore Delta State, Nigeria. With our expertise and experience, RAPDC is well equipped and resourced to manage the exploration, development, and production of hydrocarbons from the shallow offshore Oloye field thereby contributing to the growth and sustainability of the energy industry in Nigeria.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:



Job Title: Contract / Procurement Officer

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities
Contract:

  • Prepare tenders and contract requirements for external parties – servicing companies, vendors etc.
  • Source and select suitable vendors, prepare calls for tender, review bids received and assist in the determination and the award of contracts, including the administration of such contracts
  • Support contracts award, ensuring compliance with Company’s policies and external regulations
  • Draft appropriate contractual and commercial terms and conditions in line with Company’s approved procedure to best serve and protect the company’s interests
  • Monitor the execution of contract/order by the contractor/supplier till the contract is closed out with full and final settlement to the contractor/supplier
  • Execute vendor prequalification, develop, and maintain a database of prequalified vendors for related goods and/or services as directed by company rules.
  • Provide general assistance and advice on contractual and procurement matters as required to support the company’s operations
  • Actively participate and promote company health and safety procedures and policies for all contracted suppliers
  • Monitor the overall financial and physical progress of awarded contracts
  • Develop and maintain operational budget including project costs, investments, commercial bids
  • Implement processes for reviewing contracts, supplies and vendors ensuring that maximum value for money benefits are achieved
  • Collate and compile all tender documentation after receipt of approval
  • Liaise with various stakeholders including legal, insurance finance, health safety and environment and technical units as required.
  • Provide regular reports and updates on contractual activities as required by management
  • Perform regular supplier performance evaluation exercises to promote continuous improvement in service delivery

Procurement:

  • Estimate and establish cost parameter and budget for purchase
  • Develop plans for purchasing equipment, services, and supplies
  • Facilitate and monitor all local and international procurements, from order to deliver
  • Create and maintain good relationship with vendors/suppliers
  • Maintain records of purchasing, pricing, and other important data

Requirements
Education and Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in a relevant discipline.
  • Possess professional qualification in Procurement, Surveying or other relevant profession.
  • 5 years of proven experience in contract/ procurement management with relevant oil and gas industry experience

Skills and Competencies:

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent negotiation, contract management, and relationship management skills
  • High level of computer literacy, including experience in using specialist procurement software and computer system
  • Experience in business development
  • Ability to maintain the integrity of confidential business information
  • Possess competency with contract preparation, negotiation, tendering, and award procedures
  • Demonstrable ability to multi-task in a fast-growing company
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills to set and exceed established goals, schedules, and deadlines
  • Ability to engage with people and work in a diverse team.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including strong communication both orally and written with the ability to build relationships, network, and negotiate
  • Ability to refine raw data into quality information to support business decisions.
  • Deep knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees, and the general public
