ND Western Limited ("ND Western") is an independent Nigerian oil and gas exploration and production company made up of a consortium of four companies: Niger Delta Petroleum Resources Limited (NDPR), Petrolin Trading Limited (PETROLIN), FIRST Exploration & Petroleum Development OML 34 Limited and Walter-Smith Exploration and Production Limited.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

 

Job Title: Contract & Procurement Analyst

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full Time

Job Purpose

  • This role is responsible for providing functional and administrative support to categorymanagers/leads in the development, implementation and post-contracting and procurement management across different contract categories across NDW.
  • The Incumbent will be involved in analysing business needs, matching these against market opportunities while implementing category and contracting strategies, that deliver value for money.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Assist in preparing fit-for-purpose contract strategies towards the achievement of NDW contracting and procurement objectives.
  • Prepare necessary tendering and procurement documents ahead of tender boards for review and approval.
  • Liaise with other internal stakeholders for effective synergy and perform other duties assigned by Management.
  • Ensure proper filing of contractual records such as strategy/award notes, contract correspondence, contract/variation documents.
  • Provide support for post award contract management including but not limited to Purchase Order creation and management.
  • Prepare formal invitations for bids, RFQ's, carry out technical assessment of vendors and prepare commercial analysis and Contract & Purchase Orders for award.
  • Work closely with the Category Manager in developing NUIMS Level work scopes, Invitations to tender (ITT's) and Requests For Quotations (RFQ's) for upload in Nipex portal.
  • Contribute ideas for improvement of best contract & procurement practices and standards in accordance with the company corporate operating procedures.
  • Other duties reasonably related to the performance of the job

Educational Qualifications / Requirements

  • Degree qualified, preferably in a numerate discipline, or demonstrated professional skill in SCM.
  • 3-5 years cognate experience in SCM, preferably in the oil and gas (E&P) industry.
  • An MBA and/or an SCM professional diploma (CIPS, ISM, and IACCM) will be an advantage.

Relevant Experience Requirement:

  • Minimum of 1 year cognate experience in SCM, preferably in the oil and gas (ESP) industry
  • Skilled knowledge of ERP (Oracle, SAP etc) NIPEX.
  • Analytical skills
  • IT applications (Microsoft Office- Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc)
  • Commercial.
