We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Commissioning Rotating Equipment Technician

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Education Background / Soft Skills

• Ordinary National Diploma
• Minimum of 5 years of work experience in similar role
• English language speaking and writing.
• Align parts in relation to each other, using jacks, turn buckles, clips, wedges etc.
• Lubrication/greasing of rotating equipment
• Use of alignment tools such as feeler gauges, calipers, dial indicators, laser etc.
• Align parts in relation to each other, using jacks, turn buckles, clips, wedges, etc.
• Completed basic mechanical training program is a beneficiary.
• Use industry tools, screwdrivers, wrenches, etc.
• Use measurement tools such as levels, tapes, angle meters etc.
• Torquing methods and flange make up technics.

Knowledge Requirements:

• Safe work methods and safety industry rules
• Job Hazard /Job Safety Analyses.
• Basis physical characteristic (temperature, pressure, flow)
• Basic instrumentation (pressure, level gauges, temperature elements)
• Types of rotation equipment and their differences
• Types of mechanical tools used for rotation equipment and their application.
• Different seal types and their application
• Behavioral and physical requirements
• Strict Adherence to Project and Asset Safety Protocols & Good housekeeping
• Ability to work in all types of weather and environments.
• Prolonged periods away from the home in isolated regions are required at times. Must be willing to work shifts.
• Must be able to join obligatory training sessions and eager to do so.
• Must be physically capable of meeting all criteria to handle heavy tools and equipment.
• Different bearing types and their application
• Type of lubrication and lubricants for rotating equipment
• Rotation equipment alignment methods
• Bolts, gasket, flanges-types, and application
• Ethic of working in multinational team
• Reading of engineering drawings and documentation
• Basic battery limit isolations and general LOTO procedures
• Permit to work procedure and general HSE requirements in commissioning phase.
