Clickatell is looking for a driven, inside sales ‘hunter’ whom understands B2B mobile messaging solution sales. You should have the ability to generate and close new business opportunities within an inside sales environment.
Key responsibility areas:
- Qualify and secure high value messaging sales opportunities in the African market.
- Meet and exceed new business quota.
- Grow and consistently maintain a business pipeline
- Manage and report business intelligence, research market opportunities and make recommendations.
- Maintain sales activity on SalesForce.com. Ensure weekly development reporting on all new initiatives, activities and updates in respect of your new business opportunities.
- Work closely with the Sales Manager and marketing function to launch campaigns targeted at African market.
- Expand market share in verticals Clickatell’s enterprise messaging solutions are offered.
- Develop sales pipeline aligned with the organisation strategy, through accurately forecasting and identifying winnable sales opportunities.
- Develop own annual sales and BD plan consistent with Messaging strategy.
- ‘Hunt’ new opportunities and close deals in the African territory through applying a low touch, high service model.
- Prospect and qualify sales deals.
- Converse on strategic level and service needs of high value enterprise customers
- Have a proven NB sales track record in software and communication solutions in the African market.
- Require 5 years relevant, new business sales experience in the African territory. (B2B, SaaS experience preferred)
- Relevant degree level education preferred.
- Experience in Mobile and/or Messaging industry preferred
- Knowledge of mobile messaging market and related technologies
- Experience with salesforce.com will be advantageous.
- Undertaken industry recognized sales methodology training.
- Demonstrable understanding of an enterprise-wide solution sales & forecast management methodology.
