We are recruiting to fill the position below:



Job Title: Claims Officer

Location: Lagos Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all claims request and processing forboth captive and non – captive clients.
  • Conduct field inspection of claims and guidecustomers to manage losses and respond appropriately.
  • Manage Loss Adjusters, Assessors, and Claims settlement officers.
  • Identification of business or risk potentials that can easily crystallize to claims and referring same to PSO
  • Support clients in every claims events. Both Life claims, General business claims and HMO claims.
  • Visitations of customers who suffered claims with the aim of solidifying AIBL relationship for business continuity.
  • Ensures customers claims are not repudiated especially where cover is valid
  • Escalate issues as appropriate
  • Advice, guide and manage clients, relationship officers, PSOs, Telesales officer etc on claims matters for revenue generation.
  • Assist other units and personnel as may be assigned from time to time

Person Specification

  • A Degree in Insurance or Actuarial Science or any business field.
  • A minimum of DipCII certification is required
  • Ability to understand and interpret all insurance terms and conditions as are created in every policy documents
  • Envisage every loss potentials and the levels of risks and clearly respond to inform all stakeholders what is covered and what is not covered at all time.
  • Ability to support clients in every claims events. Both Life claims, General business claims and HMO claims.
  • Visitations of customers who suffered claims with the aim of solidifying AIBL relationship for business continuity.
  • 2-4 years relevant experience in the Insurance industry is required.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with Loss Adjusters and Assessors
  • Good knowledge of market dynamics influencing adequate and prompt claims settlements.
