Job Title: Chief Security Officer (CSO)

Role Summary

  • We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Chief Security Officer (CSO) to lead and oversee the security operations of our organization. The CSO will develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive security policies and strategies to safeguard the safety of employees, students (if applicable), assets, and infrastructure. This role requires a proactive leader with strong decision-making skills and a commitment to creating a secure environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement security policies, protocols, and procedures to protect organizational assets and personnel.
  • Monitor and assess emerging security trends and threats, providing recommendations for organizational preparedness.
  • Ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of security systems, including surveillance, access control, and emergency response protocols.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on security operations, incidents, and risk assessments to senior management.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate potential threats.
  • Oversee and manage a team of security personnel, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies, regulatory bodies, and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with safety and security standards.
  • Respond to security incidents, investigate breaches, and implement corrective measures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Security Management, Criminology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in a senior security role, preferably within a large organization or educational institution.
  • Ability to analyze complex security issues and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Proficiency in using security systems and technology.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CPP, PSP) are an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of security protocols, emergency response, and crisis management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
