Job Description
- We are currently looking to hire a WND Shift Supervisor to join our team in Lagos. He/she will be responsible to supervise the running of a safe and efficient operation, working within clear guidelines to help achieve defined outcomes for the site and the customer(s).
- In addition to the main duties and responsibilities listed below the Warehouse Shift Manager will be expected to perform other duties commensurate with their skills and abilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement actions as directed to reduce or eliminate health and safety-related risks
- Ensure the team applies the Safety Standards and relevant guidelines
- Report and investigate incidents within the workplace and respond to or escalate issues of non-compliance to safety regulations and procedures
- Supervise day-to-day warehouse's team performance, including achievement of agreed customer KPIs Conduct performance reviews and coaching
- Support management with resource planning and management e.g. implement agreed processes to review performance, monitor absence and sickness and address issues within clear guidelines
- Support the recruitment, appraisal and disciplinary / exit processes and provide recommendations, and take corrective actions for under performance
- Support the environmental agenda and continuous improvement activities to increase environmental efficiency
- Planning of the warehouse operations
- Taking care of warehouse productivity
- Securing safety environment for all warehouse employees
- Inventory management and stock accuracy
- Material management
- Improvement of the existing processes and implementation of new processes
- Coaching new team members
- Supporting our growth in Maersk warehousing
- Develop and maintain a culture of continuous improvement in all site operations.
- Implement the required security measures to protect the site premises, including the safety of personnel, assets and of the customer's product for the required area
- Investigate all relevant security risks and implement identified mitigation, where necessary having proposed mitigation options to your line manager for agreement.
- Continuously contribute to the improvement of procedures to better achieve the prescribed outputs.
- Regularly update the operational training matrix / plan as required.
- Participate in customer, regulatory and internal operational audits as required and work with the team to implement the agreed action plan.
- Respond to or escalate customer issues within clear guidelines and recommend solutions.
We Are Looking For
- Previous experience in operational warehouse Supervision and team leadership is required.
- Health and Safety certified or equivalent.
- Experience in managing continuous improvement.
- Communication and relationship building at all levels (Customer, Management, Operations)
- Ability to lead, direct and motivate across all departments
- People management and stakeholder management skills
- Understanding of Employment Law
- Understanding of WMS, VNA, material handling equipment.
- Microsoft Office.

Job Title: Warehouse Management System Super User

- We are currently looking to hire a WMS Super User to join our team in Lagos.
- The WMS Systems Super User is responsible for translating business requirements into new features in the Maersk Warehouse and Distribution systems.
- You will ensure the operating procedures are aligned with any changes with an aim to ensure we meet customer requirements and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive warehouse and distribution community agenda
- Provide system training and user support to all facilities in Nigeria
- Own cross-dock, transload, yard management, and transportation systems and business processes
- Define and own our E2E business processes
- Drives standardization and centralization of business and system processes
- Support the development of new (digital) products
- Ensure the operational platform remains up to date based on required improvements.
- Assess business and customer needs to determine system requirements
- Collaborate with operations and IT to configure systems to meet business needs and requirements.
- Prioritize, plan, test, and implement new system release and developments
- Support the business during go-live events for new business and/or systems
- Ensure processes are properly documented, stored and shared to business unit through the creation of SOPs/IOPs
- Responsible for process governance and adherence to defined standard operating processes.
- Other duties as needed to support the business.
We Are Looking For
Education, Experience and Technical Skills:
- High School Diploma; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Will be working M-F standard hours and will need to be flexible working additional hours at night and on weekends as necessary
- 3+ years Warehouse Distribution industry experience or have a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management
- 3+ years Warehouse Management systems experience;
- Intermediate-Advanced proficiency in Microsoft applications; Word, Excel, PowerPoint

- Maersk Nigeria is currently looking for a dynamic candidate to join our team in Lagos as Inventory Control Coordinator.
- He/she will be responsible to ensure accurate receiving and shipping of customers' freight, maintain inventory integrity, and investigate and reconcile all inventory and shipping discrepancies. Create reports as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Weekly Inventory cycles, cycle counts; reconciliation of counts
- Reconcile the returns of mis-shipped freight or customer refusals
- Identifying and reconciling inventory discrepancies in a timely manner
- Maintaining inventory reports and logs as needed, including:
- Comparison Report
- Metric Reports
- Back-up Quality Assurance Analyst functions and reporting as needed
- Coordinate the recoup or repack of damaged inventory
- Writing up the daily checks for Customers as required
- Checking freight for accurate paperwork as requested
- Reconciliation of overages, shortages and damages
- Apprising Supervisor and Customer Service Manager of any non-compliant freight
- Verifying all freight pulls, transfers, movement of freight and orders.
- Assist in planning inbound and outbound loads.
Other Duties / Responsibilities:
- Assist CSR and other staff as needed
- Cross-train in other areas of the team
- Support Maersk Distribution's commitment to quality, which includes customer-specific Quality program(s), training requirements and work instructions
