Job Title: Business Development Officer
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Business Development Officer will identify new business opportunities, develop and implement growth strategies, and build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • The Business Development Officer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategies that meet customer needs and stay current with industry and market trends to join its successful and fast-growing team.

Responsibilities
The candidate must have knowledge of the fiberglass industryand a local business expert with excellent marketing strategies to establish business relationships with customers in the oil and gas industries. He or she has to cover the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Source for local and international customers in the oil and gas industry
  • Perform sales presentations, and cold calls to potential prospects and convert them into clients
  • Gather information about potential international clients, generate leads and write reports
  • Conduct face-to-face consultations with prospects
  • Provide professional solutions to new and existing clients
  • Formulate marketing activities and policies for promoting the company’s services
  • Monitor and gather market information and provide recommendations for improvements to achieve its global business goals
  • Establish contact and develop relationships with customers
  • Perform other related duties assigned by Management and supervisor.

Education & Qualifications

  • Experience in FRP/GRP/GRE/GRV/ESP pipe design engineering in the Oil & Gas industry is a must.
  • Has good business acumen and proven business development skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Fluency in verbal communication skills
  • Familiar with industry trends, and experience in business development in emerging markets
  • Willing to travel.
  • Minimum qualifications: a bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Marine, Fabrication, Environmental) or Business Administration or management.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in the industry
  • Good (international) marketing skills to research new markets and sales techniques
