Health Information Systems Program Nigeria (HISP) Nigeria is Nigeria's leading health informatics organization. HISP works to build evidence based health information for equitable planning and functional action. Incorporated in 2006, HISP works as part of the global HISP Network is a regional leader in providing DHIS2 design, management and backstopping.

As HISP is undergoing a process of reorganization, a vacancy has opened for a business development manager. Job Title: Business Development Manager

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full Time

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • The Business Manager is charge of networking and resource sourcing on behalf of HISP Nigeria.
  • You will be the first contact for external partners, you will have the task of educating potential clients on HISP Nigeria’s brand and products.
  • You will be in charge of new product innovations using HISP Nigeria’s unique selling points to identify new revenue streams, applying high quality research and feasibility to conceptualize ideas and provide written explanations on their successful implementation.
  • You will write up proposals and cost implications in a very detailed and technically robust fashion, thus ensuring that HISP’s bids are always highly competitive and display a high level of professionalism.
  • You will keep a contacts database of HISP’s existing clients and explore any opportunities for expansion.
  • You will expand HISP’s business footprint. As the Business Manager, your job is to source for new partnerships, business growth opportunities and collaborations.

Qualifications and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field
  • Expert understanding of service and product, and ability to innovate new ways the product can serve customers.
  • Excellent organizational skills to meet goals and set priorities'
  • Strong Microsoft office skills.
  • Experience in resource mobilization will be a serious advantage.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, and ability to express technical and nontechnical concepts clearly and concisely.
