Job Title: Biomedical Engineer
Location: Maiduguri, Borno
Job Type: Full Time
Job Purpose
- The Biomedical Engineer provides support in deployment and supervising all functionality of medical equipment across INTERSOS facilities.
- In particular, S/he supports health equipment stock management, procurement follow-up, filing and archiving medical equipment related documents.
Responsibilities
- Management of the equipment required by the project: Procurement, installation, maintenance and supervision of the biomedical equipment.
- Providing logistical support to the medical teams, conducting minor repairs, and maintenance of medical equipment.
- Processes and provides documentation for incoming and existing medical equipment and stock items.
- Ensuring adherence to the delivery timeframe (IN and OUT) of the equipment/assets within the warehouse.
- Updates inventory records monthly.
- Support the installation and decommissioning of medical equipment.
- Contributes to the formulation of medical equipment BOQs.
- Reviews equipment samples of suppliers, conducting cost and benefit analysis.
- Any other tasks as assigned by the Supervisory/Managerial team.
Position Requirements
- B.Sc / HND in Biomedical Engineering with 3 years working experience in maintaining automated/electromechanical/electronic medical equipment.
- Certification with an international medical equipment supplier.
- Familiarity with the common medical brands and maintenance in healthcare settings.
- Undertake and apply learning from appropriate training and development programmes.
- Maintain and care for all equipment issued by INTERSOS Nigeria
- Act as an ambassador for INTERSOS Nigeria, through professionalism and conduct.
- Adhere to all INTERSOS policies and procedures both technical and administrational.
- Undertake and apply learning from appropriate training and development programmes.
- Maintain and care for all equipment issued by INTERSOS Nigeria and for any losses or damages due to negligence you will be liable for repair or replacement.
- Great skills to work across different projects at the same time.
- Good capacity to cooperate with other departments.
- Flexibility and patience are highly appreciated.
