The Bible Society of Nigeria (BSN) is a member of the United Bible Societies (UBS) a global fellowship of Non-Denominational Christian organization operating in over 240 countries and territories to make sure that everyone who wants to can access and engage with the Bible. Its primary mission involves Bible translation, production and distribution, advocacy, engagement and raising funds to execute these activities.

Job Title: Audit Assistant

Location: Lagos

Key Responsibilities

  • Auditing of the activities of assigned BSN depots, Areas’ activities and the Bible Guesthouse.
  • Ensuring strict compliance with BSN and Bible Guest House policies.
  • Ensuring strict adherence to necessary controls put in place to detect and prevent errors and frauds early.
  • Reporting every observed variance or breach of BSN and Bible Guest House operational standards promptly and effectively.
  • Monitoring staff advances and recovering debts and report the true state of same to the Divisional Manager.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years cognate experience in an Internal Audit or Finance function in a reputable organization.
  • Minimum of National Diploma in Accounting and / or ATS.

Personnel Specification(s):

  • Good and practical knowledge of accounting software preferably Sage 50.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Self-driven with the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
