Job Title: Agronomist 

Location: Itu-Ngwa, Abia / Port Harcourt, Rivers

Job Summary

• We are seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated Agronomist to join our team. 
• The ideal candidate will have expertise in soil management, crop production, and sustainable farming practices. 
• They will work closely with farmers, agricultural businesses, and research to improve crop yields, enhance soil health, and implement best agricultural practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct soil and crop assessments to determine optimal planting and fertilization strategies.
• Monitor and analyze the effects of weather, soil conditions, and farming techniques on crop performance.
• Advise farmers on best practices for soil conservation and crop rotation.
• Assist in the selection and use of agricultural equipment and technology.
• Prepare reports and recommendations based on field observations and research.
• Develop and implement sustainable agricultural practices to improve productivity.
• Provide guidance on pest and disease management.
• Conduct research and trials on crop varieties, fertilizers, and irrigation techniques.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess relevant qualifications with 2 - 5 years of experience.
