Job Title: Administrative Assistant

Location: Abuja (FCT) 
Employment Type: Contract

Job Summary

  • A successful Admin Assistant candidate will have various prerequisite skills such as high-level organisational, administrative, and clerical skills, as well as excellent communication, and interpersonal skills and a basic knowledge of the industry the company works in or the products and services they sell.

Other important skills and qualifications can typically include:

  • Confidence to communicate effectively and accurately with a wide range of people, from senior management and CEOs to customers and suppliers
  • Acting as a point of contact for customers, clients, or suppliers via email, over the phone or in person
  • Processing invoices, tracking receipts, inputting expenses, and other basic bookkeeping tasks
  • Arranging travel plans and hotel stays for staff members
  • Ordering new office equipment, such as stationery, printer refills, or staff uniforms
  • Scheduling office meetings between teams, managers, and departments
  • Responding to questions and requests for information
  • Welcoming visitors to the building, organising security clearance and showing them to meetings
  • Booking meeting rooms for colleagues and arranging meeting schedules
  • Organising filing systems and updating office databases

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant, Virtual Assistant, or Office Admin Assistant
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • High School degree; additional qualification as an Administrative assistant or Secretary will be a plus.
  • 1 year work experience.
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
  • Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular)
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
