Job Title: Accounts Payable and Receivable Officer

Location: Festac Town, Lagos

Job Description

  • We are seeking a meticulous Accounts Payable/Receivable Officer to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions related to both accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing of payments.

Responsibilities
Accounts Payable:

  • Prepare and issue payments to vendors, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
  • Maintain organized records of all accounts payable transactions and documentation.

Accounts Receivable:

  • Monitor incoming payments, follow up on overdue accounts, and ensure timely collections.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies related to payments.
  • Maintain accurate records of all accounts receivable transactions.

Financial Reporting:

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports related to accounts payable and receivable.
  • Support the finance team during audits by providing necessary documentation and addressing inquiries.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the finance and operations teams to ensure seamless financial processes.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors and customers to address inquiries and resolve issues.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Previous experience in accounts payable and receivable functions is preferred, ideally in the financial services or technology sectors.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Understanding of cryptocurrency transactions and gift card processing is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial transactions.

Salary
N100,000 - N105,000 / month.
