Winock Solar is a registered Nigerian company established in 2016, specialising in flexible and cost-effective Solar and energy efficient equipment rent to own service for micro and small businesses. We official started operations in 2017 by providing Solar equipment leasing service to customers such as phone chargers and barbers. In 2019, we switched to solar rent to own to enable our customers own their equipment after an agreed time-period. Over time, we expanded to include other types of energy efficient equipment and we are fast gaining market reputation as the leading equipment rent to own service provider for microbusinesses. We are significantly differentiated by focusing on economic and environmental impact and making our rent to own service flexible and cost-effective for our customers.

Job Title: Accountant

Location: Wuse - Zone 2, Abuja
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • We are looking for a skilled Accountant to maintain our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts and payments. 
  • Create and analyze financial reports and ensure legal requirements compliance 
  • Process accounts payable and receivable and manage invoices and tax payments.
  • Our ideal candidate should have a Finance degree (preferably followed by accounting CPE courses) and is familiar with accounting software packages, like ZohoBooks, FreshBooks, Kashoo and KashFlow.
  • Ultimately, the Accountant's responsibilities are to accurately record all day-to-day financial transactions of our company.

Responsibilities

  • Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process
  • Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct day book, suppliers ledger, customer ledger and general ledger
  • Complete tax forms
  • Enter data, maintain records and create reports and financial statements
  • Process accounts receivable/payable and handle payroll in a timely manner
  • Bring the books to the trial balance stage
  • Perform partial checks of the posting process

Requirements and Skills

  • B.Sc degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
  • ICAN or ACCA-certified
  • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
  • Proficiency in English and in MS Office
  • Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proven bookkeeping experience
  • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
  • Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers

Salary 
N120,000 - N150,000 Monthly.
