We are recruiting to fill the position below:

 

Job Title: Account Officer - Payments

Location: Onne, Rivers

Role Objective

  • The Account Officer will be responsible for various accounting and operational tasks related to the processing of payment transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Processing of all cheque payments, cash payments and fund transfers. Maintains registers and log records of all payments and fund transfers. Ensures accurate data entry of all payments into the ERP application.
  • Produces and circulates periodic reports on payments as required by Management.
  • Interfaces with Subsidiaries to resolve vendor queries, reconciliation, and payments.
  • Processing of Subsidiaries local and foreign vendors payments on ERP application.
  • Manages the daily bank runs, to deliver bank instructions and for cash withdrawals.
  • Manages and reports on central cash float.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (minimum of Second Class Upper Division) or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field from a reputable Institution.
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office suite (MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint), Ability to effectively use an ERP, preferably Dynamics NAV.
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA) is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 3 years working experience in a similar role, preferably in manufacturing, industrial or banking environment. Experience with ERP software required.
