Job Title: Account / Inventory Assistant

Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Reports to: Senior Account Officer

Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Account Assistant/Inventory Officer to support our accounting and inventory management functions.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, as well as experience with inventory management systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day financial transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Ensure the accuracy of inventory records and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
• Collaborate with the sales team to manage inventory levels and forecast future demand.
• Perform routine audits of inventory to ensure the accuracy of data.
• Maintain knowledge of current inventory management software and systems.
• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and ensure that all invoices are properly processed and paid in a timely manner.
• Assist with the preparation of financial reports, including monthly and year-end financial statements.
• Coordinate and manage inventory operations including monitoring inventory levels, placing orders, and tracking shipments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting and inventory management.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks and inventory management systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
