Working Capital & Cash Management Analyst at Airtel Nigeria

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

 

Job Title: Working Capital & Cash Management Analyst

Location: Lagos, Nigeria (On-site)
Employment type: Full-time

Job Purpose

  • Efficient Cash Flow Forecasting and Liquidity Management, Bank Accounts Administration of Bank.
  • Ensuring Optimal performance of Collection/Payment Channels. Receivables Monitoring and Ensuring adequate Funding for Company’s Obligations as appropriate. Management of Trade transactions – LC’s/CCI’s/FX Dealings.

Job Responsibilities
Accurate Liquidity Report:

  • Ensure all Bank Account Statements are received/downloaded daily.
  • Review of Bank Statements to verify balances and debits to payment/transfer instructions.
  • Liaison with Banks on outstanding and unexplained debits
  • Effective Decision on Funds Management to ensure efficient utilization of Funds.

Preparation of Periodic Cash Flow Forecast:

  • Maintain monthly cash flow forecast.
  • Monitor spending against the planned daily forecast.
  • Reporting and correcting variances between forecasts and actual.
  • Prepare Ad-Hoc Cash Forecast as and when required to determine Funding Gap for Specific requirements.

Proper Accounting for all Transactions Relating to Funds Transfers on ERP:

  • Prepare schedule of Inter-Bank transfers for posting on ERP.
  • Reconciliation of interbank postings on ERP
  • Ensure Closure of Month End with no outstanding Postings from Treasury
  • Capture GL journals of other postings on ERP for posting by AP i.e. Deposits and Credit Interests.

Accurate and Timely Submission of Daily, Monthly, Quarterly, and other periodic treasury related report:

  • Liaison with Relevant Units on the inputs for the preparation of the Daily Cash Report (DCR).
  • Ensure accuracy and timely submissions of all Reports
  • Liaison and resolution of Queries from Group Treasury on periodic reports
  • Ensure that internal receivable targets are promptly shared and monitored.

Management of Trade related issues:

  • Ensure appropriate Banks are provided for LC and CCI establishments.
  • Ensure adequate liquidity in Banks for all FX related transactions.
  • Ensure timely confirmation and settlement of FX trades.
  • Close all issues relating to LC establishments with Banks.
  • Engage Banks to source for FX for foreign remittances.

Smooth Processing of Cash at Airtel Showrooms:

  • Ensure resolution of cash related issues between at the Showrooms.
  • Ensure issues with POS terminals are resolved in the Showrooms.
  • Proper management of mobile money mode of collection in all showrooms.

Submission of Flash and Forecast for Interest and Bank Charges:

  • Prepare and submit monthly forecast for interest and bank charges based on expected spend.
  • Prepare and submit monthly forecast for loan and cash & cash equivalent balances.

Fund and facilities management:

  • Ensuring that facilities are available and in place.
  • Review of facility agreements and offer letters
  • Performing rates survey with banks for deposit placements
  • Investing fund withing Airtel Africa Policy

Good relationship with Partner Banks:

  • Ensure a good relationship is maintained with all Partner Banks

Educational Qualifications
Must have:

  • A University Degree (B.Sc.) / HND in Social Sciences or any numerate discipline
  • Professional qualification (ACIB, ACA, ACCA, CPA, CFA) is mandatory – completed or almost completed.
  • Master's Degree and / or MBA will be an added advantage.

Working Experience:
Must have:

  • Minimum of 8 years relevant work experience in a Multinational with 4yrs in Supervisory/Managerial Role
