To help drive continuing growth and expansion, the agency is now seeking to strengthen its management team through the immediate appointment for this role: Job Title: Business Unit Director Ref: DRM/117/BUD Location: Lagos The Role

  • Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be expected to contribute at a senior level to the strategic planning partnership between internal client service and assigned clients.
Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Identifying opportunities, helping solidify objectives, applying analysis and developing insights for assigned key businesses
  • Supervising and ensuring professional development of the strategic planning team
  • Monitoring company and market performance to determine if strategies need to be adjusted or new strategies should be introduced
  • Building a strategic voice within the agency/client team
  • Positively growing the profitability and reputation of the agency with a focused strategic vision on business growth
The Person
  • Minimum of 10 years’ cognate experience in a strategy-focused role, four of which should have been at executive or senior management level
  • MBA holder or other Master’s degree (in a Science based or Management based discipline) with relevant professional membership/certification
  • An experienced team leader with strong ability to identify strategic needs and lead all aspects of communications planning with cut-through insights and analytics to deliver winning media proposals
  • Deep knowledge and robust understanding of a wide range of industries, markets and brands; willingness to adopt a flexible schedule to meet client commitments and to undertake short-notice travel as maybe required to research and drive regional business development initiatives
  • Self-motivated and willing to expand knowledge through deliberate immersion and ownership of the Agency’s propriety communications planning methodology
  • Industry wide experience and proven track record of performance across clientele in various sectors of the economy with key focus on experience in building Agency-Client portfolios. A regional responsibility in a similar role will be an added advantage

  • Reporting to the Managing Director, you will oversee the full spectrum of human resources management function within the organization.
  • In this capacity, you will direct the development and execution of effective HR strategies in alignment with the vision and goals of the business.
  • Key result areas will include: workforce planning, policy formulation and implementation, development and implementation of functional appraisal and in-house training systems.
You will also be expected to:
  • Develop high-level human resources policies and practices to support the aspirations of the company
  • Identify human resources priority issues across the organization and develop appropriate strategies to address them
  • Manage the recruitment, selection and placement process
The Person
  • Degree-qualified in Human Resources Management or any related Social Science discipline (possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification or certification will be an advantage)
  • Good working knowledge of management techniques relating to performance management (e.g. the Balanced Scorecard, key performance indicators), recruitment and selection as well as training and development
  • Experience in conceptualizing and driving change
  • High level of interpersonal skills and integrity; solid team player
  • Strong, decisive, results-oriented leader who can develop and manage relationships across the company
  • At least 5- 8 years’ experience in a managerial, consulting and HR support role in a large corporate or environment with an understanding of business partnering and organizational development

  • Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will be responsible for the provision of high level management advice and consultancy services to the company's clients
The Person
  • Degree-qualified in Social Sciences, Law, or any Business related discipline with 8-10 years' cognate experience in a professional service or consulting company.
  • Experience in leading the provision of expert advisory and consultancy services to clients on a wide range of complex business management matters
  • Ability to establish and achieve agreed revenue generation and profit maximization targets
  • Successful track record of business development and relationship management, including the development of enduring institutional relationships and networks
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrable ability to deliver high-level advice on issues of a complex and sensitive nature to clients at the highest organizational levels
  • An MBA or relevant post-graduate qualification in a related discipline will be an added advantage
