  • Provide technical direction and support to installation teams during installation, start-up, testing, system commissioning, or performance monitoring.
  • Develop standard operation procedures and quality standards for solar installation work.
  • Perform electrical checks, test and evaluate photovoltaic (PV) cells or modules.
  • Perform thermal, stress, and cost reduction analyses for solar systems.
  • Review specifications and recommend engineering changes to achieve solar design objectives.
  • Plan and coordinate installations in compliance with safety standards
  • Estimate materials, equipment, and personnel needed for residential or commercial solar installation projects.
  • Any other duties assigned by the MD
  • Conduct engineering site assessment/audits to obtain electrical, structural, and related information needed for the design of residential or commercial solar power systems.
  • Design photovoltaic (PV) or solar thermal systems, including system components, for residential and commercial buildings.
  • Create plans for solar energy system development, monitoring, and evaluation activities.
  • Identify means to reduce costs, minimize risks, and increase efficiency of solar installation projects
  • Create checklists for review or inspection of completed solar installation projects.
  • Prepare electrical single-line diagrams, load/panel schedules, and shop drawings for solar electric systems.
  • Develop design specifications and functional requirements for residential, commercial, or industrial solar energy systems or components.
  • Perform computer simulation of solar photovoltaic (PV) generation system performance and energy production to optimize efficiency.
Qualification and Experience
  • OND, HND and Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum of two (2)years in Solar Engineer or related experience and dealing with high volume of diverse clients.

  • Knowledge of PV system components, wiring practices, layout, low voltage AC design, medium voltage design, relay protection, metering, utility interconnection requirements etc. .
  • Organization: works systematically, uses time efficiently; ability to prioritize and meet deadlines without direct supervision, work to deadlines.
  • Response to change: adaptable, interested in learning and developing to meet changing situations, an enthusiastic approach to the introduction of new technology.
