Job Title: Field Service Representative
Job description
- This position is accountable for installing, inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing customer equipment.
- The incumbent will maintain, retrofit, and provide technical support for all Schneider products, both in the shop and on site.
- Work on competitive equipment may also be part of the role.
- FSR will instruct customers on the operation and maintenance of equipment.
- He will provide technical instruction and guidance to new and less experienced FSR.
- He will perform warranty and recall work.
- Test circuits and equipment utilizing various tools and machines such as computers, software, workstations, circuit diagram, etc.
- Analyze malfunctions in equipment and interpret maintenance manuals, using knowledge of systems and electronics to isolate and correct issues.
- FSR must be available to respond to emergency calls and for intervention.
- Maintain service equipment, tools and documentation.
- Identify sales opportunities and submit them to sales teams in the FS systems (CRM/ERP).
- Any intervention will have to be prepared and executed in respect of safety guidelines (prevention plan, protection equipments, …)
Essential Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service
- Advise customers on best practice, new services and upgrade opportunities
- Perform Startup/Commissioning on equipment across the Schneider Electric product portfolio.
- Perform Preventive, scheduled and unscheduled Maintenance on equipment
- Track Installed Base (serviceable assets)
- Submit Opportunity Detected during his interventions
- Support serviceable Schneider equipment including but not limited to electrical switchgear, HVAC/CRAC systems, UPS systems, PDUs, RPPs, BMS systems, PLCs, HMIs, Drives, security, access control, CCTV and fire alarm and suppression systems…
- Leads or contributes to Field Services small projects coordination and execution on customer site (end of life, modernization, upgrade, …).
- Must have proven skill level to interpret blueprints and other service documents, including but not limited to, specifications, reporting and quality requirements.
- Perform basic audits of customer’s electrical systems and equipment.
- Document all required information for each site (technical report)
- Get signature from customer for acceptance after the execution of the on-site work
- Provide daily and accurate time and expense for each customer intervention
- Properly document, label, and return all defective parts utilized in the repair of equipment to the designated disposal/repair location.
- Develop innovative solutions to more complex technical problems that arise during start-up.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend new products or equipments upgrades that will meet customer needs.
- Assist Schneider Electric Service Partners in site visits, evaluating technical and professional performance.
- When at customer site, looks for other business opportunities outside current scope of work and lead them to the sales team
- Is in permanent relation with his planner/coordinator for smooth execution of his intervention
- Will escalate to FS technical expert in the countries as needed when unable to solve a technical issue
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Can investigate remotely the origin of the breakdown and submit fixes (in a service bureau for example)

Skills Required (can be adapted per technologies used in SE Business Units)
- High level of technical knowledge of electronic/electrical component theory. Knowledge of HVAC systems and applicable application software knowledge is preferred.

- Familiarization in preparing MOPs is a plus and candidate must adhere to the strict guidelines of approved Methods of Procedures (MOPs).
- Verifiable hands-on technical work experience required
- Certification needed according to Business and Country where he is operating.
- Relevant experience with critical systems infrastructure equipment (i.e. electrical switchgear, diesel generators, UPS systems, electrical distribution, chillers, cooling towers, air handlers, fire detection/suppression or building monitoring systems).
- Posses a valid driver's license.
Education And Experience
- Associate degree in electronics/electrical/mechanical with at least 1year of related experience, or have 4-5 years equivalent experience in a related field, or equivalent combinations of education and experience.
Field Service Rep Jr. –
- has 1-3 years experience in Field Services.
- FSR Jr. role works under general directions for routine work and detailed instructions on new assignments.
Field Service Rep Sr. –
- has 3-5 years experience in Technical Service field.
- FSR Sr. role works under no instruction for routine work and general instructions on new assignments.
Field Service Rep Expert –
- has 5-10 years experience in Technical Services.
- FSR Expert role works independently to determine methods and procedures on assignments. The Expert coordinates contracts and manages subcontractors on projects.
- Expert FSRs integrate all Schneider Electric and customer equipment and systems.
- Expert is responsible for Service Level provided to customer on-site.
- This role demonstrates applied technical experience for on-site project management across all BU offers.

Job Title: Channel Manager - Distributor
Job Purpose
- The Channel Manager Distribution will drive growth within the Distribution channel on a national level.
- The role would involve developing strategy for acquisition of new distributors and the management of the relationship with existing distributors to maximize profitability and revenues within the Distribution channel.
Principal Accountabilities
- Develop the strategy for expansion of the Distribution channel in Nigeria in line with the regional goals and strategy.
- Develop and successfully execute sales strategies to exceed the sales and profitability targets on this channel.
- Work closely with relevant functional leaders (Product Management, Customer Relations Center, & Pricing Team).
- Redefine, create, manage and track specific business plans/actions through regular meetings and reviews.
- Use of Schneider Electric internal tools to deliver highly accurate forecasts that identify revenue and timing of all projects, resulting in a qualified pipeline of prospects and detailed input.
- Provide feedback regarding market trends, pricing and competition to commercial operations and P&L – including win/loss analysis.
- Identify New Product Introduction and business development needs to penetrate new markets
- Maintain strong cross business selling initiatives, leveraging BU, sales forums and local teams.
- Leverage customer /partner/ internal SE relationships.
- Partners with Distributors to plan strategies, provide quality service, train customer's personnel, and provide support necessary for attainment of customer's goals and objectives. Anticipates obstacles and identifies alternative strategies.
- Maintains active relationships with SE Distributors. Negotiates discrepancies between customer's expectations and SE's.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
- Graduate Engineers will be expected to undertake project responsibilities and be responsible for packages of work, they will work under the guidance of more senior department engineers and may be expected to take responsibility for scopes of work.
Main Duties And Responsibilities
- All aspects of application engineering, including training and working to delivery of:
- System specification, design, implementation, configuration for Schneider Electric product and 3rd party supply.
- System testing and conducting Client witness testing, 3rd Party equipment acceptance testing.
- Selection and integration of Schneider Electric and third party purchased equipment.
- Define and configure sequential, continuous and ladder logic from client P&IDs and technical descriptions.
- Prepare electronic and mechanical designs to protect and power automation systems.
- Define the system network, calculate processor, memory loading and other engineering calculations.
- Design field loop circuits and specify hardware components.
- Ensure technical compliance to customers’ specification relating to assigned areas of work.
- To be aware of the development of existing and new Schneider Electric hardware and software products.
- Ensure technical information is communicated to all relevant parties as appropriate. Attend and document meetings as appropriate.
- Provide support functions not directly related to the execution of sales order projects
- Provide technical support to sales staff, including pre-order discussions with prospective clients.
- Provide technical support to Customer Services, including support to Field Service and Customer Training.
- Provide technical support to Proposal

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

- HND or equivalent level in an engineering discipline – preferably Electronic, Electrical, Control or Software. Good command of the English language, both verbally and written.
Desirable
- BEng Degree in Electronic/Control Engineering. Commercial and business training. Schneider Electric or other manufacturers product training.
