We are recruiting to fill the position of:
Job Title: Front Desk Officer
Job Objective
- The job holder will provide secretarial and operational support to
the directorates and departments at the ICRD headquarters.
Organizational Relationships.
- The job holder reports directly to the Executive Director and supervises the Office Assistant and Driver.
Key Job Responsibilities The Front Desk Officer’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Securely managing inflow and outflow of visitor traffic
- Managing enquiries via telephone and designated e-mail accounts
- Assisting the Director of Communication with social media outpost
management, as well as information dissemination through appropriate
media/channels
- Database management
- Managing petty cash disbursements under the guidance/supervision of the Executive Director
- Managing inventory of office supplies
- Relationship and vendor management
- Responsibility for office equipment, grounds, and managing relationships with support staff (driver, office cleaner, security officers, website manager, etc)
- Efficient event co-ordination skills
- Providing secretarial support to directorates and programme staff
- Sorting and archiving correspondence for efficient retrieval and ensuring prompt follow-up
- Effectively managing a filing system; safely storing sensitive and confidential materials as required
- Scheduling and managing meetings and appointments, including arranging appropriate transportation as required

- Quality of service provided to staff and stakeholders
Requirements The Person
- The ideal candidate must combine an ability to self-manage and take
initiative with impeccable people skills. Learning quickly and within
time constraints are essential to successful task delivery, as are a
growth mindset and the ability to multi-task effectively.
- As a support staff to the Communication Directorate, the ideal
candidate must have good comportment and exceptional communication
skills, with working knowledge of, and an interest in, Nigeria’s social,
political and economic landscapes and ICRD’s causes.
- The minimum educational requirement is a second class lower Degree
from a reputable university, a Higher National Diploma, Upper Credit, or
an equivalent certification in Secretarial Studies or related fields.
Relevant experience will be an added advantage and candidates who do not
meet the educational requirement may be considered in exceptional
circumstances. A strong grasp of Microsoft Office is essential.

Job Title: Programme Manager
Job Objective
- The job holder will implement ICRD’s knowledge mining strategies
through sector-specific direct intervention programmes that seek to test
and advance scalable models to national policy.
Organizational Relationships
- The Programme Manager reports directly to the Director of Research
and Policy Development and directly supervises the Programme Officers.
Key Job Responsibilities The Programme Manager’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Reducing programme strategies to implementable processes
- Managing implementation of programme processes in line with ICRD’s strategic goals
- Preparing project budgets
- Managing project related events
- Deploying information technology in tracking project resources and schedules
- Weekly reporting to, and meetings with, the Director of Research and Policy Development
- Assisting the Director of Research and Policy Development in the analysis of project data for policy development
- Organizing and deploying project resources including human, material and financial in line with project schedules and objectives
- Managing relations and correspondence with project stakeholders
- Supervising project officers in the collation of quantitative and qualitative project data
The Person
- The Programme Manager must combine a results driven orientation with
people skills and must be capable of driving project execution to
desired ends. The person should demonstrate interest and competence in
key sectors pertinent to ICRD’s current direct intervention strategies
including education, creative industries and local governance.
- The minimum educational requirement is a second-class upper degree
in Economics, Business Management or a related field from a reputable
university. Joint honours in Economics and Education (B.Ed/B.Sc), a
relevant Master’s degree or a project management certification will be
an added advantage.
- Relevant experience in any of ICRD’s strategic sectors would be further advantageous.
