We are recruiting to fill the position below:

 

 

Job Title: Data Centre Technician

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Support best practice and best in class ME methodology ensuring rigorous and effective maintenance regimens are performed and maintained.
  • Carry out service, repairs, breakdowns and installation of electrical equipment & wiring
  • Carry out preventive maintenance and operation of CAT generating systems
  • The role holder will be responsible for escorting third party engineers on site and providing best practice advice on any facility installations undertaken.
  • Demonstrable practical knowledge of HVAC systems
  • Hands on operational experience of APC UPS systems
  • Hands on operational experience of ML/LV power systems
  • Experience in operation and preventative maintenance of CAT generator sets.
  • Experienced in Fault Diagnosis and delivery
  • Microsoft Office skills in Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Carry out first line support for Data centre HVAC systems and office comfort cooling systems
  • Carry out minor plumbing, and building works around the facility. Ensure compliance to all Health &Safety policies in all areas.
  • Provide data reporting to Facilities Manager Provide proactive risk assessments and report any potential threats to service delivery.
  • Perform Daily Checks around the critical infrastructure recording and reporting all potential faults
  • This role will also support the Data centre Manager/Engineer in maintaining and installing data centre hardware including (but not limited to) racks, lighting, Security and rack power supplies.

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess an OND qualification with 2 - 5 years relevant work experience.
