The College of Insurance and Financial Management (CIFM) established in 2007 by the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CllN) under its Charter and Enabling Law is seeking suitably qualified candidates to fill the below position of:

 Qualification and Experience
Interested candidates for the post should possess the following qualifications:

  • A Doctorate degree or a Master’s degree in any of the social sciences or business related disciplines with at least fifteen (15) years professional and administrative experience, at least five of which must have been gained in managerial position or in an institution of comparable status.
  • Candidates must possess membership of reputable professional body?bodies in Nigeria or overseas and be able to command the respect and loyalty of the majority of members of staff and Students of the institution.
  • Candidates must not be more than 50 years of age at their next birthday.
  • Possession of relevant Professional Qualifications (AIIN/ACII FIIN/FCII) is essential.
  • Demonstrable ability to offer academic and administrative leadership as well as the ability to effectively discharge the duties and responsibilities of the Office of the Rector.
  • Evidence of scholarly publications in reputable journals.
Description
  • The Rector who shall be the arrowhead of the institution shall have the responsibility of jump-starting the immediate take-off of academic studies in the institution and shall supervise its general development.
  • In addition to proven management and leadership experience, the successful candidate must have a demonstrable passion for academic and professional practices.
  • The Rector is the Chief Academic, Administrative and Accounting Officer of the College and has general responsibility for matter relating to the day-to-day administration of the institution subject to the policy guidelines of the Governing Board of the College.

Terms of Appointment/ Condition of Service
  • The appointment is for an initial period of four (4) years and may be renewed for a second term of four (4) years, subject to satisfactory performance.
  • The remuneration attached to the position is similar to those enjoyable in tertiary institutions in Nigeria including other benefits and allowances that may be approved by the Governing Board, of the College of Insurance and Financial Management (CIFM) from time to time.
