Sevan Construction Nigeria Limited was established in 1981 with Registration No. RC 37125 as a limited liability company specialized in all kinds of Structural Steel fabrication design & erection to the civil construction and Oil & Gas Industries, development and manufacturing of various semi-trailers, rigid truck bodies, which enabled the company to deliver complete projects of steel structures coupled with civil engineering.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Chief Security Officer
Location: Lagos
Responsibilities
- To contribute to the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the effectiveness of security plans and other aspects of security operations
- To review and monitor activities related to the company security programme and security plans, including all aspects related to the elaboration, development and updating of such plans and, if necessary, their implementation.
- To establish procedures for and conduct investigations on all accidents and incidents in which company personnel have been victims at any point in time
- To evaluate effectiveness of prevailing fire safety measures in effect in assigned areas of responsibility, including fire prevention devices, firefighting equipment, and evacuation plans.
- To perform other security related tasks assigned by the management of the company
- To coordinate all security logistics and manage the development of all security personnel
- To provide awareness and enlightenment to all employees on security matters.
- Identify air and land evacuation requirements to be used in emergency cases
- To maintain continuing awareness of prevailing security conditions, to identify probable threats and to advise management to follow appropriate preventative steps
- To compile and maintain an updated staff list that includes all personnel, including visiting delegations and consultants
- To establish and maintain contact with security officials of the company and to share information pertaining to staff safety and security
- To assume responsibility for the monitoring and evaluation of office physical security measures.
Requirements
- Degree in any related field to Security
- At least seven (7) years of relevant and
- pertinent experience in the security profession.
- Extensive experience in military, police or relative field required.
Skills:
- High level degree of confidentially and integrity; very good interrelations skills, and diplomatic skills
- Discreet and quiet professionalism with career background in security field.
- Proven leadership; Ability to work in a stressful environment and able to deliver timely results.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Proven experience with Engineering industry including ability to operate complex security related equipment.
- Excellent customer service attitude and ability to work in a team and manage diverse elements through complex project management scenario.
- Competence in the use of company standard software (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint).
- Demonstrated ability to analyse facts and implement concrete solutions
- Very good records of networking with people and knowledge of successful integration in a multicultural organisation.
Working Days
- Mondays - Sundays with one day off.
Salary
N65,000 monthly.
