We are recruiting to fill the position below:

 

Job Title: Quality Health and Safety Officer

Location: Irrua, Edo

Duties

  • Maintain effective liaison with certification/accreditation bodies.
  • Review and prepare quality procedures
  • Assist in the review and preparation of departmental procedures
  • Responsible for quality control activities in the University
  • Ensure process objectives are set and reviewed at various levels & functions within the university
  • Monitor and Evaluate process objectives for the relevant process on quarterly basis
  • Plan, develop and implement internal audit program to the requirements of ISO 21001:2018
  • Perform quality surveillance and inspection of on-going work in the university
  • Participate in failure analysis and corrective action investigations for identified nonconformities and complaints from relevant sources/processes
  • Prepare and submit department monthly report
  • Supervision of the QHSE department
  • Assign roles and responsibilities in the QHSE department
  • Ensure relevant and updated standards are used throughout the university
  • Prepare the organization and participate in second and third party audits
  • Approval of disposition plan on non-conformance report and verification for implementation of corrective action
  • Provide early warnings of potential quality problems identified within the processes.
  • Ensures that project and/or process control documentations are established and maintained
  • Support the preparation of proposals and tenders
  • Formulate and implement suitable training programs for process personnel’s
  • Devise and implement various methods and procedures for teaching and assessing student
  • Conduct quality management review meeting and write reports
  • Update quality management review follow up log
  • Perform prequalification and qualification assessment on suppliers

Qualifications

  • A minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Sciences with a 5-8 years’ work experience in Health, Safety and Environment, Quality Management and Document Control.
  • An advanced degree in a related field will be an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in use of Computer and Software skills
  • Should have not less than 3year work experience in Quality Management System
  • Experience in Health Safety and Environment will be an added advantage
  • Possession of relevant professional qualification in the appropriate field(s).
  •  Knowledge on Quality Management System.
  • ISO 9001:2015 lead auditor certification
  • ISO 21001 certification will be an added advantage
