Job Title: Intellectual Property Attorney

Job Summary

  • We are seeking an experienced IP lawyer to provide legal counsel and support to our organization on a wide range of intellectual property issues.
  • The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in all aspects of IP law, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets.
  • The IP lawyer will be responsible for advising our organization on IP-related legal issues, drafting and negotiating IP-related contracts, conducting IP searches and assessments, and representing our organization in disputes related to IP infringement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice and support on a wide range of intellectual property issues, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets.
  • Draft and negotiate IP-related contracts, such as licensing agreements and non-disclosure agreements.
  • Represent the organization in disputes related to IP infringement, including litigation and alternative dispute resolution.
  • Stay up-to-date on changes to IP laws and regulations and advise the organization on any potential impact.
  • Conduct IP searches and assessments to determine the viability of new inventions or products.
  • Manage the organization's IP portfolio and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • Law Degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide practical solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal issues to non-legal stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience practicing IP law, with a proven track record of success.
  • In-depth knowledge of IP law, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets.
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills, with the ability to draft complex IP-related contracts.
  • Experience conducting IP searches and assessments.
