Job Summary

  • We are seeking an Instrumentation Engineer/Specialist with expertise in the Oil and Gas Industry. Responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining instrumentation systems and control systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with industry standards.
  • Key responsibilities include conducting feasibility studies, developing instrument specifications, and providing technical support for instrumentation-related activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, schedule, and manage overall engineering activities, including DCS and quick fix projects, within or across disciplines. Coordinate with detail engineering contractors to ensure seamless execution.
  • Provide expert support for technical review of engineering documents throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct site visits to verify status, address scope issues, and inspect material inventory and potential concerns.
  • Review operating and maintenance procedures and provide technical support during testing, commissioning, and plant start-up.
  • Manage critical interfaces and assist in vendor/sub-contractor selection.
  • Supervise and inspect instrumentation construction activities to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
  • Review and archive documentation for all project instrumentation activities.
  • Facilitate training and development initiatives for engineers.
  • Manage project specifications, engineering procedures, and technical documents.
  • Coordinate interdisciplinary checks, design reviews, and HAZOPS studies.
  • Validate recommendations from quick fix contractors and engineering sub-contractors on procurement and necessary interventions.
  • Conduct unit-by-unit oversight analysis of technical documents and contractor activities.

Requirements

  • Holds a Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation and Control Engineering.
  • Registered Professional Engineer.
  • Brings over 8 years of experience encompassing project execution, plant maintenance, and DCS implementation within greenfield/brownfield projects. Additional proficiency in field instrumentation is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with industry codes and standards.
  • Demonstrated maintenance experience in refinery/petrochemical settings.
  • Proven track record of mentoring and training young engineers in industry best practices.
  • Possesses comprehensive knowledge of refinery/petrochemicals engineering construction methods, practices, and procedures.

Salary
$8000 - $9600 / Month (Net)
