Women without Walls Initiative (WOWWI) is a non-governmental,non-sectarian and all-inclusive organization, comprised of progressive Nigerian women from every facet of life.WOWWI has formed a coalition of women groups nationally and internationally, to fight for, and advance the cause of women, youth, and children, irrespective of ethnic, religious, or political affiliation. We are made up of ordinary women who are concerned about our environment, society, and the world at large, especially as it affects, women, youths, and children.WOWWI began as a child of necessity. Our vision isto develop a non-violent, creative, and inclusive approach to conflict resolution and transformation in Nigeria, through women who are natural agents for social and national change

We are recruiting to fill the position below:



Job Title: Communication Specialist

Location: Jos, Plateau
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Profile

  • Community mapping
  • Maintain information on the number of beneficiaries reached
  • Participate in outreach
  • Skill building where possible
  • Organize and manage support groups
  • Manage event files
  • Prepare case studies (documentation)
  • Maintain a directory of services, key influencers

Qualifications

  • First Degree in Communication, Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in community-level work and communication
